I've checked into many of these all suite properties with a two-burner range top and a microwave oven, and have never used any of it. I try to visualize a family with 4 children coming in an making home made fried chicken with no range hood and I can't wrap my mind around it. I can't imagine cooking much of anything in one of these suites beyond re-heating something take-out, but actually cooking doesn't seem likely. Yet they put in full dishwashers and the house keeping staff will run the whole cycle to wash one fork. This is not extended stay, and I'd consider it a bad choice to play that role. Outside of that this place is super-fine, and I've never had anything go wrong in many stays. This is the most unusual group of 3 different Hilton brands on the same piece of land, and behind a very vacant mall. They are off the beaten path just a little bit but not hard to see. They need to re-label that body of water behind the place as a pond, rather than a lake. Texas is so dry that folks call any body of water bigger than a tea cup a lake. This will be my 3rd or 4th visit here, and I keep coming back. This building is not young, but has been kept in almost new condition. Every one of the showers I've seen in this facility has mold along the bottom of the shower door, and this one had a grimy plastic floor with cracks in it. Plastic plumbing fixtures aren't good anywhere, but in a lodging environment they are just too flimsy, and most of them look bad very early in life. The rest of the valves, fixtures, stool, lavatory, and linens were in new condition, but not generous. I had to get more towels from the desk. They have breakfast typical of a Hilton property with waffles, cereal, scrabbled eggs, dinner sausages, and some kind of BBQ chicken dish. I just don't like dinner sausage at breakfast, and I left them with it. They had oatmeal with lots of nice toppings, sweet breads, toast, and just about everything except fresh biscuits and gravy. They keep the serving dishes full, and take care of the warming trays keeping the items fresh and appealing. Of course they had every kind of drink we expect to find at breakfast in unlimited quantities, and their coffee was ready 1 hour before breakfast starts. The lobby is spacious and inviting, and the young black man on the desk accommodating and welcoming. I was not amused to go to the desk in the evening and find a sign that says they have abandoned the place, and the customer just has to wait. I can get that much from the Wayfarer, the city's luxury innkeeper where all the independent pharmacists stay, and I do expect more from a Hilton property. I've stayed here several times and I keep coming back. There are a few minor things they could do better, but I would still recommend them to others. I'll likely be back myself if I need to overnight here. I tried that luxury thing downtown and I find this to be a better value. Your parking is free here, and there is plenty off it. ALL OF THE electronic door access mechanisms worked correctly, and without hassles, which has become a sore spot with me. Many other properties don't achieve this. I hope they keep up the good work, as it's everything it's supposed to be. That thing they call a lake did make me laugh.

“Not the best Homewood Suites”

Stayed here one night on the way through, while moving. Got the "Presidential Suite" Room 219. Neat idea for a room, nice space in kitchen/living room. Terribly uncomfortable sofa and chair, though. It has a 2 way fireplace between living and bed room. It doesn't work. We tried all the switches to no avail. Bedroom is a nice size. Headboard needs replacing, as it is torn in several places and looks shabby. Then the bathroom. There is a whirlpool bathtub. It looks and feels like if you fill it up its going to fall through the floor. Seriously, the floor in front of it is soft and you can see the floor tiles move as you walk across them. Super scary actually. The shower stall is also scary, due to the amount of nasty caulking and mold/ mildew in every corner. I am pretty disappointed with the condition of the room. I'm sure it was great when it was new, but now every part of it needs to be updated, and perhaps even reconstructed in places. I will say the bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. I just wish all the amenities were in working order. Won't be booking here again.

Eggs were cold daily (block o’ eggs with odd texture), lesser quality meats, but waffles, pastries, coffee, OJ, etc were ok. Bedding (pillows, sheets, etc) nice quality and comfy. Heat worked well. Rooms and main spaces look threadbare and tired. Room was only partially cleaned day we asked for service. Quiet location (no road noise); pond next door; good parking with restaurants, shopping nearby. United Regional and MPEC 10 min, Sheppard AFB 20 min. Quality: 3*/5* Value: 3/5 Would I return: probably not (no hot water in shower)
