I had almost booked Clear Sky Resort for the Stargazing dome view, but decided a shorter 4 minute drive to Bryce Canyon National Park to get there early before the crowds would be better since we only had one day there. The lobby has a super tall ceiling and a lodge-like feel, really fancy and modern. Plenty of parking. The breakfast included breakfast with a big buffet of scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with ham, pancakes, cereal, sausage, bacon, fruit, tater tots, breakfast muffins and donuts had much more choices than the Best Western we stayed at in at Springdale for Zion National Park. There is one elevator. Pay attention to the receptionist when they tell you the floor. Our room was 3461, and he said the 4th floor which seemed like a mistake until we got out on the 3rd floor and could not find our room. The second digit refers to the floor number. The first number refers to the building. Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and the bathroom vanity was long. There was an inexpensive Keurig machine. I successfully made my coffee, but my husband couldn't get the machine to turn on again even with wife help. Microwave in the room. Our mini-fridge was warm and fiddling with the temperature control didn't seem to start it up. I put those comments on my Best Western survey and the general manager responded and thanked me and said the problems would be addressed. The pool and hot tub are located in the center of the buildings, so it can be more shaded there in the afternoon. The park shuttle does not stop at this hotel but Ruby's Inn about 7 - 10 minutes walking. We drove the 0.5 miles for dinner there - Cowboy's Buffet and Steak Room. We got there about 5:40 pm and by 6:30 pm, it looked like a 30-45 minute line. When they run out of the ribs, you might be stuck eating the buffet or other menu choices. The ribs were good!

Beautiful property, clean large room, great breakfast included, just outside Bryce Canton National Park.

Front desk was helpful, when pushed. I always request a quiet room and the first I was assigned was next to the elevators. Not great, but I was told that was the only location of the type of room I'd reserved. First room reeked of cleaning solution, or what I now know is their carpet cleaning solution (large carpet cleaner next to the elevators also smelled of this.) Windows were filthy, carpet was pulled up in spots and main door was missing privacy strip at the bottom. Went back and asked to be moved. Agent was nice, but kept trying to assign me to worse locations. I asked if I could simply get a different room type and was told those were all sold out...as a walk-in requested the same thing and was immediately assigned a room. Agent went to supervisor and I was given a great room as my second option. No problems. Great overnight, except weirdly I could find no USB ports. I'd stay again and found price far for the location.

“Good option for Bryce”

Friendly staff and good breakfast in the morning. Dark carpet in the room probably could use an update as well as towels. But overall, it was a good stay. Just minutes to Bryce Canyon, which was our high priority.
