Just wanted to leave a review for Ruby’s inn at Bryce Canyon. I stayed there last May and went back again this year. I had a great time - loved the helpful courteous staff in the hotel and the restaurant. This time it really felt like home coming back to Ruby’s. I never leave reviews for anything but I am compelled to because this was overall a stellar experience top to bottom. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful and very comfortable stay!

“Perfect for what we needed!”

My family of 4 stayed here one night and it was great! Comfy beds, spacious room, and ice available. Best part was the buffet breakfast included and the location to Bryce Canyon.

If you're over 40 this will feel like every hotel you ever stayed in as a child. The decor is western themed and a little dated, but the hotel is remarkably clean. We refused housekeeping as we were only going to be there for two days. There was a bag of fresh towels and tp tied to our door, even though we didn't request it. That was nice. The pillows are STRANGE - small and square but not uncomfortable. The included breakfast at Ruby's Buffet is not great. But it's the best you will do in Bryce City. It's better than a granola bar, so there's that. I wouldn't eat there otherwise. I would stay there again if going to Bryce.

Ruby’s Best Western Plus is literally a monopoly in the small village of Bryce. They own the other Best Western across the street and even another hotel close by. They also own the stores across the street. With that said, Ruby’s is close to the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park. The foyer area is inviting. At first, you may encounter a parking problem as Ruby’s is a popular place. Attached to the hotel is a very large gift shop and even a grocery store. There is even a small kiosk where liquor can be purchased, a hard thing to do in Utah. A rather large restaurant is also part of the main complex. If you have an RV, Rudy’s has their own area to accommodate recreational vehicles of all sizes. If you need a Post Office, Ruby’s has that too. The staff is pleasant and helpful. All your needs will be met at Ruby’s. The National Park shuttle even comes by Ruby’s to pick people up to go into the Park. You will also see that various tour groups, like Globus, patronize Ruby’s. The hotel has over 360 rooms. The complex is split up into smaller two-story buildings. There are lodges which are one story too. The buildings are older and do not have elevators. The only elevators are in the main hotel. If you have mobility concerns, you should call land request a bottom floor. I surmise that if you want to be located in the main hotel area, you will need to call to make those arrangements. The main hotel also has a good size fitness center and a popular indoor pool. The coffee machine that is in most Best Westerns’ is tucked down a hallway. At first, we were given an upstairs room in one of the outer buildings. Luckily, we were able to change for a bottom floor room. We did not have any problem parking next to our room. Our room was clean, and the AC cold with a good size TV, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. The room, though, was dated. The dark carpet did not do it justice. The bathroom is small, but doable. Although, we had to work around the fact that the door knob came off our bathroom door. Many of the outer buildings are away from the main complex. There is no walkway to the main complex. You have to watch out for cars as you are walking on pavement. Also, being so far away could be a problem when the weather in rainy, cold or both. Ironically, Ruby was cheaper than other Best Westerns we stayed at during our Western trip. Breakfast is provided in the restaurant in the main section. We were surprise that this restaurant could actually hold a sizeable amount of people. If you think that each room holds 2 people, times 360, which means at least 700 people come to breakfast. The buffet breakfast is of your standard fair of scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage etc. Nothing too elaborate. Our service was excellent and friendly. Overall, even with the dated room, we give Ruby’s a solid 4. There are more plusses than negatives.
