“Great place to stay”

Clean comfy nice staff, great location, beautiful area , close to hiking trails, walking trails, park, grocery store, gas station, restaurant, has a nice fire pit sitting area. Pretty quiet. I always stay here for business travels

My wife and I recently spent one night at the Best Western Plus in Cedar City, UT. The hotel was included as part of a Southwest Adventure Tours of the Mighty Five national parks in Utah, so I can’t comment on the room rate. The hotel is located near the center of town, a quick walk to many stores and restaurants. The lobby shares space with the dining area where breakfast is served. Check-in was handled by Southwest Adventure Tours. There is no pool, but there is a fitness center, which we didn’t use. Our room (325) was located on the ground floor in a separate wing from the main building. There was no indoor hallway, access to the room was from an outside door The spacious room had a modern decor. Our room came with a king-size bed that had five small pillows, almost like throw pillows. They were firm, but comfortable. Ditto for the bed. Small tables flanked the bed with lamps on each with outlets. There also was a clock radio on one table. Surprisingly, there was a large space between the bed and the outside door, large enough to fit another bed. A floor lamp, upholstered chair and ottoman were tucked in a corner. A credenza/dresser unit held a microwave and fridge. A flat screen TV was above. Next was a desk with office chair and a separate side chair. A lamp and separate power bank with USB ports was on top. A large mirror doubled as the door to a closet which held a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was split between an open area with sink and a separate room with a commode and tub/shower combination. The sink had a long counter with a light-up makeup mirror and a coffee (no tea) station. Individual-size bottles of Phamacopia brand toiletries and makeup remover tissues were provided. Temperature and water pressure in the shower were fine. Towels were thick. The bottom of the tub was slippery, so we used a hand towel as a substitute bath mat, even though there was a grab bar. If you want, you can save water by reusing towels. (See pic.) An automatic night light in the commode room was appreciated in the middle of the night. Breakfast was included with our room. A full selection of cold and hot cold elections were offered. What was unusual was a posted menu announcing daily morning offerings. (See pic.) One minor irritation was the noise level in the room. At night you could hear muffled conversations of other guests. And the sounds of a shower running in the early morning. On the plus side, the hotel was one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in in a while. Overall, we found our room to be adequate and comfortable and would recommend it to anyone looking for lodging in Cedar City. For more specific details and pictures, visit the hotel’s website.

“Nice hotel but rough around the edges.”

Convenient location to restaurants and the university. Our room was spacious. Actually a pretty good breakfast with pleasant staff. But the hotel is old and dated and quite a bit banged up. The worst part… I just happen to look behind the dresser to plug my laptop into the TV, it was very dust… more

Convenient location to restaurants and the university. Our room was spacious. Actually a pretty good breakfast with pleasant staff. But the hotel is old and dated and quite a bit banged up. The worst part… I just happen to look behind the dresser to plug my laptop into the TV, it was very dusty and old beer can. Perhaps more attention needs to be paid to maintenance and housekeeping.
