“Super 8 was worth the price”

We stayed at the super 8 in South Jordan so I could be closer to the hospital for a following test I had in the morning. When we arrived, the facility was clean. We stayed at the super 8 in South Jordan so I could be closer to the hospital for a following test I had in the morning. When we arrived, the facility was clean. They didn't have our room ready and so they accommodated us to even a bigger room since having to wait. I did read some previous reviews but my review these folks deserve all stars. They were kind, inviting, the room was clean and they were sure to ask us if we needed anything to let them know. Granted the rooms are not updated but that style is coming back anyway so who cares and if you need somewhere to stay at a far more decent and affordable place I would stay there again. Thanks again!

“Inexpensive with breakfast and nice pool/ hot tub”

Cleanliness - mostly fair/poor . I had to try 3 different rooms, but all had badly stained and unvacuumed carpets. Maybe they need new vacuum cleaners. Service was excellent. Cleanliness - mostly fair/poor . I had to try 3 different rooms, but all had badly stained and unvacuumed carpets. Maybe they need new vacuum cleaners. Service was excellent. The front desk did everything to help me find a better room, and asked housekeeping to vacuum the 3 rd room I looked at. All staff at front desk were friendly and helpful! That was the best thing about the motel!! Amenities - enjoyed the indoor pool and breakfast.

We spent 3 or 4 nights here for the Thanksgiving festivities. I did read the reviews and was slightly concerned but..still went. The location is close to Walmart. It's a bit noisy at night, between traffic, guests returning to their room shouting at 3:30, and the guest on the top floor pacing the room until 12:30 am, plus the AC which kept blowing cold air while outside it was almost snowing. So we just turned it off to keep warm. You can tell that the cleaners do their job well daily. However, deep clean does not happen. Corners are super dirty in the bathroom, and all around the beds, there were crumbs and dust bits from previous guests. The old, dated carpets were not quite clean, and the stains everywhere were quite awful to look at. The room had only wall lights and quite dim too, so we were in semi darkness for the whole time. In the shower, the liquid soap containers were pretty much empty. The fridge door would not open at all, so we kept everything in the car, which was more efficient. Breakfast: arrive early or find it quite dirty as nobody cleans surfaces or floors until the breakfast bar closes. A person spilled a lot of orange juice on the floor, and left it (clap clap, well done!!!) so I had to go clean it myself if I wanted to be able to walk across the room. There were bread ready to toast, cereals, waffles mix ready to bake, juice, tea, coffee, mandarines and apples. If you are not for high carbs and sugar, bring your own - no protein in sight. The pool looked clean. The beds were comfortable, but pillows very high so I endured a neck ache for 2 nights and then resolved to use my towel instead. Oh yes, shower towels - they are basically napkins. If you have long hair or suffer the cold, you will need too. In Europe we use a decent size that actually dries the entire body. There was no hair drier in its own attachment, and thankfully I anticipated that this would be the case so I used my own - however they should not advertise them if they don't have them. We booked a room for 3 and found sets of towels for 2 people, so we asked reception to provide, which they did. Customer service in reception was great. All the workers, one American, 2 from Nepal and an Indian guy, were friendly and approachable and we had great chats. Because of that I am upgrading my review from 3 to 4 stars. Suggestions that I give as a person whose family has run hotels for 30+ years: - Please check your equipment and ensure it is working: fridges, hair driers, etc - Get at least a monthly deep clean of carpets, corners etc and under the bed areas - Ensure that breakfast area is kept clean during operations (some guests do not clean up their own mess and your workers don't step in either) - Invest in new carpets - these are really difficult to look at and it's time to get rid of them - keep smiling!
