Montclair at Zion is a pricey stay, but in our experience it was worth it if you want a very modern, spacious apartment with a highly responsive management team and minimal risk compared to a typical Airbnb. Everything felt professionally run, well thought out, and easy. We stayed in a 2-bedroom, 1-bath villa (A-202) on the second floor facing the street. While you can see the road, once the doors are closed it’s impressively quiet—no noticeable traffic noise at all. The tradeoff is fantastic: beautiful views of the red rock cliffs and Zion buttes in the distance. Being on the second floor with a balcony was a plus; it was a great spot to sit outside and take in the scenery. Location is excellent. The property is toward the end of the main drag from Zion National Park, and the shuttle stop is directly across the street. That alone makes this place a winner—you don’t need to drive to the visitor center or fight for parking inside the park. There’s also a Chevron gas station across the street within walking distance for snacks, and Sol Foods Supermarket is just a short drive away for groceries. The villa itself felt brand new and extremely clean. It was fully stocked with towels, utensils, cookware, plates—everything you need to cook meals comfortably. There was also a nice welcome gift (flavored popcorn, chips, salsa), and bottled water was already chilled in the refrigerator, which was a thoughtful touch. Space-wise, it easily accommodates 3–4 people. The pull-out sofa was comfortable, and the living area never felt cramped. The bathroom was spacious with a large shower; water pressure was slightly weak but still perfectly usable. Tech amenities were solid. The TV had Roku built in, though I plugged in my own streaming device. Wi-Fi was excellent—around 400 Mbps up and down, which is unusually fast for a vacation property in this area. Parking was plentiful and convenient, and access to the second floor was easy. Check-in was smooth—we received the entry code by text about an hour before arrival and were even able to get in a bit early. The only real hiccup during our stay was the thermostat setup. The Ecobee system was locked to a default of 65°F, and although we could temporarily raise it to 70°F, it would reset after two hours. Since we stayed at the end of December, 70°F wasn’t quite warm enough—especially knowing it would drop back down automatically. Management was responsive and sent someone over, but we initially weren’t on the same page. Ultimately, they provided the thermostat PIN so I could override it myself, which solved the issue. Suggestion to management: for winter stays, allow a higher max temp (around 73°F) and consider leaving the thermostat unlocked, resetting it between guests. At this price point, comfort matters. The pool is closed in winter, which was fine for us, but the jacuzzi was open. Had I packed a swimsuit, I probably would have used it. Management was very responsive via text, which worked best. Occasionally responses came through email or WhatsApp instead, which was a bit confusing, but sticking to text communication kept things simple. As for dining: there are plenty of restaurants a short drive away, and there’s even a pizza place within walking distance. One tip—Switchback Grille steakhouse was overpriced and underwhelming for what you get. Bottom line: If you want a modern, spacious, well-equipped place close to Zion with easy shuttle access and professional management, Montclair at Zion is an excellent choice. It’s not cheap, but the comfort, convenience, and low stress made it well worth it for us.

Our stay at Montclair at Zion was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived, our host Tim went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The home is beautifully remodeled, tastefully designed, and immaculately clean — one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in for years. The property is perfectly maintained, and the hot tub was a wonderful way to relax after long days exploring Zion. This upscale rental truly has everything you could possibly need and more. We stayed four nights at the Montclair at Zion and we were absolutely thrilled with the entire experience. We had a two bedroom one bath facing streetside. The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning and everything was VERY neat and clean. We text management several times before, during and after our trip and we got a response almost immediately! We cannot recommend Montclair enough!
