My experience stems from a business-trip in which the Sheraton Hotel was the designated lodging venue. However, regardless of choice, the Sheraton Pentagon City hotel provided great accommodations and amenities arguable to both those traveling to the Arlington/D.C. area for work or leisure. Traffic patterns and the highway infrastructure is a bit hectic (in the most generous terms), but getting to the Sheraton Pentagon City was fairly straight forward. Whether you're coming from I-395 (North or South directions) and onto Washington Boulevard, there is a quick off-ramp from Washington that is easy to miss if you're not paying attention. After that, the off-ramp literally leads you straight to the hotel. The Sheraton Pentagon City hotel a parking garage that goes underground; make sure you check-in first so that you can use your hotel room card to access the parking garage. There is a convenient pull-through/valet lane (wide enough to fit 2 cars) that offers direct access to the reception in the main lobby. The design of this lane was thoughtful in that it provides overhead cover from any inclimate weather such as rain or snow once you step out of the vehicle. As you enter the main lobby, there is a sense of grandeur and class as these areas are decorated and maintained with fairly well. The reception clerks were more than friendly and helpful throughout the check-in process. For my particular trip, parking and breakfast were included in the fee (not sure if this is standard with the average accomodation reservation) to which the receptionist gratefully explained and provided vouchers for, respectively. The parking garage is very intuitive and was seemingly secure - in terms of accessibility and location. From the parking garage, there is a singular elevator that provides return access to the hotel lobby, while a set of stairs are on either ends of the parking structure to offer access points to the hotel. Despite the elevator breaking down on the last day that I was there, the parking garage was very convenient and spacious. The room accommodations themselves are a bit dated, admittedly, however served their purpose. My room had a king bed. Additional room amenities included a mini-refrigerator and a round table-desk with 4-outlets built onto the surface of the table that was very convenient. Some reviewers mentioned the view once you get into the higher-floors; my room happened to be on the 11th floor facing to the southwest which gave a decent vantage of Colombia Pike as it entered through the residential portions of Arlington. The breakfast was significantly better than the usual continental breakfasts. There quite a pleasant and delightful spread that were served on heated trays and pots. The service that complimented the breakfast meal was a nicely added touch even though the food was self-serve. I have to emphasize the one major perk of staying at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel which is the access to Fort Myer. From South Orme Street, you can easily leave Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel and get onto post through the Southgate Road (which brings you in through the Henderson Hall-Marine Corps side of post). Although not 24 hours, the gate opens and closes on all 7 days of the week (with exceptions of course). This makes the Sheraton an ideal lodging accommodation for those that have business on post. Overall, great stay and experience at the Sheraton!

The staff at this property were universally warm and attentive. Helen in the lounge was memorable for consistent check-ins, asking if guests needed anything, refilling food and beverage stations, and ensuring an executive level feel to the lounge. Front desk staff and maintenance workers also greeted guests and performed their duties with exceptional professionalism. The actual grounds were in sad shape. Elevators were slow with scuff marks on the faux brass veneers. The room was clean-ish but most aspects seemed so aged as to impliedly seem unclean. The lounge food quality was mediocre—I did not get sick, but I was worried the first time I ate there because it didn’t seem like high quality items. Not bad or I would’ve skipped the complimentary breakfast, but questionable. The location isnt near anything except the Pentagon and military facilities to my observation. A few police facilities are walking distance as well. I can’t imagine staying at this location as a tourist. I was able to jog to the Lincoln Memorial will relative ease (lots of construction nearby meant detours). Still, my meetings meant rideshare requests. I wouldn’t say “bad,” but I also think this brand has many other options closer to public transit, landmarks, and nightlife. The price made the experience acceptable.
