Our July stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Richland was truly exceptional. We stay at Hilton properties several times a year—including Embassy Suites, Hampton Inns, Homewood Suites, and other Hilton brands—and this has been our favorite Hilton stay to date. We stayed in an ADA-accessible suite, which made a huge difference for my husband's mobility needs. Our room was conveniently located near the elevator and The Lodge, making it easy to get to breakfast, the pool, and the common areas. The suite itself was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed: a full-size refrigerator/freezer, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and utensils. It felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained. What impressed us most was how attentive the staff was to every detail. We would notice something out of place, and by the time we walked back through the area, it had already been taken care of. The grounds were consistently immaculate throughout our stay. One afternoon, a guest mentioned a small wasp nest near the pool. Staff responded almost immediately and had it safely removed. Despite the pool being busy every day, it was always clean, there were always fresh towels available, and the seating areas stayed neat and inviting. We even noticed staff helping some of the long-term guests by washing their vehicles—something I've never seen at another hotel. It perfectly reflected the level of care this team shows their guests. The heated saltwater pool quickly became one of our favorite places to relax. With plenty of lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas, a gas fire pit, and guest barbecue grills, it felt like an extension of our vacation rather than just another hotel pool. Breakfast was honestly one of the highlights of our stay. Along with the traditional favorites like scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, fresh waffles, pastries, breads, fruit, yogurt, and cereal, there were rotating hot specialties including chicken tinga, pork carnitas, pork chorizo, and a fully loaded taco bar. There were also overnight oats, chia pudding, hot oatmeal with a generous toppings bar, and so many options that we looked forward to breakfast every morning. One of the biggest compliments I can give this property is that during our four-night stay, we only ate out once. Between the fully equipped kitchen, convenient DoorDash and Grubhub delivery, and relaxing evenings spent poolside, staying at the hotel was just as enjoyable as going out. Most of all, what made this stay unforgettable was the people. Every employee we encountered—from the front desk to housekeeping and the breakfast staff—was warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to help. We never felt like just another room number. We felt like welcomed guests. The only thing this property is missing is a hot tub. If it had one, I would honestly call it the best hotel I've ever stayed at. To the management team and everyone at Homewood Suites Richland: thank you for creating such a welcoming place. Your team has built something special, and it shows in every detail. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
