The hotel is conveniently located for visiting family and friends and it was very quiet. We never heard people in neighboring rooms. The room was mostly clean (see notes below) and it was nicely decorated. Despite my notes below, we’ll stay here again. Notes: 1. Whatever cleaning solution that’s used to clean the tile floors left a sticky residue that made my sneakers squeak. Bonus: They were clearly cleaned. Negative: It didn’t want to come off my shoes , so I squeaked everywhere. I think the floors may need to be rinsed with water, or they need to change the product. It was one of those cases in which clean didn’t actually feel that clean. 2. The front desk attendant when I tried to check out has terrible customer service skills. She was on the phone, but instead of getting eye contact with me to silently acknowledge my presence, she purposely avoided making eye contact at all. I stood there for more a while until another attendant passing by asked if I’d been helped and took my keys cards. Geez. Lady #1 could have just reached out to take them herself. It took 10 seconds—after a 7 minute wait, that is.

Room was clean and adequately stocked. Breakfast was the usual for a hotel in this price range. I like the little little egg... soufles?... that they serve instead of a tray of nasty old scrambled eggs. You know how scrambled eggs get in a buffet warmer tray. The room seemed like it might have been sound proof. But I wasn't there much outside of sleeping, so I don't know if there's was even anyone in the room next to me. Also I was on the second floor. But there was a group out at the picnic bench drinking and generally having a good time one night and I didn't hear them either. There's a CVS right next door, walking distance, that was very convenient. There's also a historical theatre across the street. It seemed like a relationship safe neighborhood. Now to the reason for only 3 stars. I was there for 4 nights, their wifi was down the whole time. I'd you need to work on the road then I don't recommend this place for business trips. Their internet access is unreliable. Also, it would have been nice if they had streaming capable tvs, although with the wifi down it wouldn't have done much good. When I plugged the url from the wifi sign in page into my internet browser I got a message saying that the property was no longer supported by that platform. Did they not pay their bill? Did they decide to switch providers with out a plan to transition smoothly?

We’ve stayed at the Best Western Lakewood before and really liked it. This a solo visit and though still a comfortable stay not as good as before. The bed really comfortable in a very large room, good size television with a microwave and a refrigerator. Negatives - having a $100 fee imposed at check in to cover incidentals. Seems steep and as the room rate was quite high it is unsettling thinking the hotel could just come up with something to levy a charge. Around an hour later I took a bath and noticed distinct long hairs along the side of the tub which grossed me out. I cleaned them away myself once finished. The complimentary breakfast was at least complimentary, the ingredients all seemed of a cheap nature. Lacking quality. Having just stayed at a Best Western at Seatac for less this was definitely way below par. Probably would stay again as it is practical for local business I do in the area, but the place has in my view gone down in quality. A shame as the place holds good memories of the area.
