“Great airport option walking distance to restaurant”

Stayed 1 night on a layover before our Alaska cruise. Shuttle from the airport was quick and comfortable. Check in was easy with a nice warm cookie for each guest. Room was really spacious and bed incredibly comfortable. Hotel was quiet and walking distance to many shops and restaurants by the Southcentre Mall. Would happily stay again when in the area.

“Dated but very good”

Room 1727, one night. The good: Location next to mall, excellent. Clean throughout, very quiet, very friendly and helpful staff. Shout out to Danny at the restaurant, what a great fellow. Room 1727, one night. The good: Location next to mall, excellent. Clean throughout, very quiet, very friendly and helpful staff. Shout out to Danny at the restaurant, what a great fellow. Breakfast choices were decent, but $30 pp buffet should be $20. There is a separate section in the menu for Hilton Honors members, it was great. Comfy bed, spacious mini suite, a microwave was brought up to our room upon request. The bad: Older hotel, can feel the age, it should have some refresh soon. Bathroom felt very tight. Will try this hotel out again on an international flight from SEA, it has park and fly options and free airport shuttle. Overall, was surprised how much I liked the stay.

We stayed here our final night in Seattle because it got good reviews and it was near the airport with a shuttle. Southcenter Parkway is a very busy road, with access to Route 5 which is a major artery in this area so therefore lots of traffic all the time. People who drive around here don't slow down or allow for any kind of deviation in other drivers but do things like pull a no signal U-turn in the middle of traffic, refusing to go through an intersection when the light is green, stop dead for anyone crossing in front of them, no matter whether it is a pedestrian, a runner, a cyclist, a skateboarder, etc. and everyone else just had to wait behind them. It's a good thing we had someone else drop us off at the airport; I don't think my nerves could have taken driving there. I wrote all of that to say, if you're staying in this area, keep your wits about you at every moment. That said, the morning we tried to check into this place (we had an all day day trip and wanted to leave our bags and get a room key), there was nothing available, so we had to stand in line that evening to check in instead, an no one there is in any kind of hurry. As tired and sore as we were, once we got the key and our bags we only had about 10 hours left before we had to get up again and get to the airport. In the morning, when I was more than half asleep, looking all over the suite for the coffee maker, and there was none. If they could have posted one sign or at least told us that coffee was on our own, I could have prepared. I really am not fit to face anything until I've had my first cup. There was however, a Starbucks conveniently located in the lobby, all the way downstairs, in public. Needless to say, I didn't partake in a $7 cup of their coffee. I just did without until we were served on the plane. My goodness, coffee never tasted so darn good. This hotel didn't provide breakfast either, so we lost out on that too. They did have a business center for customer use, which was nice. At least we could check in and print our boarding passes ahead. Every moment counts sometimes, and that morning, it was a convoluted mess getting to the correct gate for our flight. Sea Tac has decided to allocate one area for Pre-Check (a paid service) customers, and those who don't have that have to walk up, down through and around another half mile to get to the general TSA check in areas. That is ridiculous and unfair to passengers on the same flights. The general attitude in Seattle: you're on your own!
