Our stay at the Woodstock Inn & Resort was exceptional from beginning to end, and the customer service truly set it apart. Before our trip, I realized I had accidentally double-booked one of our hotel stays. While the other hotel offered no flexibility, the team at Woodstock Inn treated me with kindness and empathy. They took the time to speak with a manager and worked with me to find a solution. Their willingness to help immediately put us at ease. We were also able to check in early, and the staff gave us a wonderful overview of the resort, restaurants, amenities, and concierge services. Every interaction throughout our stay was friendly and welcoming. Our daughter loved the beautiful pool, which was spotless, well stocked with fresh towels, and had attentive food and beverage service. We also had a fantastic dinner at the Red Rooster with excellent food and service. The moment we'll remember most happened on the morning we left. We had to depart before the gift shop opened, and my daughter—an avid reader—was disappointed she couldn't buy a Woodstock magnetic bookmark she had picked out. I stopped by the concierge desk to ask if I could purchase one and have it mailed. Instead, a wonderful concierge, who shared that she was a recently retired reading teacher, took me into the unopened shop so I could buy the exact bookmark my daughter wanted. The joy on my daughter's face when I surprised her with it was priceless. That simple act of kindness perfectly reflects the culture at Woodstock Inn & Resort. Beautiful property, outstanding amenities, and truly exceptional people. We can't wait to come back.

“Sadly, we were somewhat disappointed in our experience”

We were at the Woodstock Inn for a wedding and were excited having never stayed there before. However, for the price, we were somewhat disappointed. The location is very good and the rooms are nice but the service is not at all what we expected for a hotel of this caliber. We arrived at 3 pm and our room was not ready which we understood. A bellman took our luggage. We asked where we could watch the USA soccer game but received no other information about what to do while we waited for check in. We went to the game room which was dark and empty with no food or drinks. We did not get a call that our room was ready so we went to the front desk at 4 pm and were told it still wasn't ready and it would be 15 - 20 more minutes. I said we had to get to a wedding welcome party but the woman was not very apologetic. At 4:20, we still did not receive a call so I went back to the front desk and the same woman said "I thought I gave you your keys already" to which I replied no, you did not. She asked for our name and then gave us the keys. We went to our room and the luggage was not there although it arrived shortly thereafter. This is not the kind of check in experience I would expect from an Inn like this. We left our room at 9:30 am on Saturday morning to walk to Billings Farm and then to get lunch. A nice perk is that admission to Billings Farm is complimentary for guests of the Inn. We got back to the Inn around 1:15 pm and our room had not yet been serviced. I went to the front desk and said we had to start getting ready to attend a wedding at 3:30 (at the Inn) and needed to get into our room by 2:15 (there were 3 adults in our room). The front desk said they could not guarantee it would be done but would send a note to housekeeping. When we want to the room a little after 2 pm, it was not done. The housekeeper asked a few minutes later if she could do the room and we told her it would have to wait since we had to get ready for a wedding. She heaved a big sigh of annoyance. Then we asked for extra towels to which she sighed again rather rudely. We asked to please come back at 3:30 pm to make up the room after we leave for the wedding. Needless to say, when we got back to the room at 10:15 pm, it had not been made up. We went to the front desk where the woman this time was very apologetic and said that should not have happened and gave us towels to use the next morning. Once again, not the type of service we would expect for a place of this caliber. Finally, we understand ending breakfast at 10 am during the week but we were shocked that on Sunday morning after attending a wedding at the inn the night before, breakfast ended at 10 am. Who ends breakfast on a Sunday at 10 am?? We got there at 9:59 am and they said our only option was getting a take out container for food which we obviously declined considering it was also FATHERS DAY! Woodstock is an adorable town but, if we return, we would not stay at the Woodstock Inn. Our son and his wife stayed at the Woodstocker B&B and had a lovely experience. They said they would stay there again in a heartbeat. We were very excited to stay at the Woodstock Inn for a wedding having never been there before, but we were disappointed. The bellmen and doormen were very nice but the rest of staff certainly did not carry themselves in the way we would expect for a place like this. Our daughter got married in 2024 at the Grafton Inn in Grafton, VT, and the staff was much nicer and more accommodating for half the price of what the Woodstock Inn charges.
