right off the hwy. close to restaurants, gas stations, Walmart and Aldi. location was convenient. There is a car wash and Cracker Barrel just across the hotel. ** there is a banquet hall nearby and it does display greetings on their monitor outside that we find entertaining to read. we pretend that we know those people and we greet them in person** son plays on a travel baseball team so we do multiple hotel stays in a yr. this time the team chose this hotel which I have no complain because our family looooves Home 2 for its amenities - FREE breakfast and parking as well as the kitchenette (full fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster. need to borrow cooktop from the front desk if needed) Mind you this hotel is attached to TRU, another Hilton brand. We checked in at Tru front desk, breakfast is served at Tru section as well. The Home 2 side seems to be not of used during our stay. Even the entrance is via Tru. Lobby has a football table, pool table and a connect 4 game. Im sure there were a couple of baseball teams there during our stay but it never felt crowded during breakfast , in the elevator that comes quick and even on our floor - it was quiet. just our kids talking and sometimes running from one room to another. ROOM: we had 1 queen and sofa bed. enough space for the 3 of us. plenty of room to move around. drawers adequate space for our 2 nights stay. although I didn't find a safe in the room. a/c works well. kept our room cold that sometimes I had to turn it off in the middle of the night. Shower amenities were provided but brought our own just in case. they do smell good. not too overpowering. water pressure and temp were perfect to my liking. tons of outlets for plugging in the electronics should you need to charge them at the same time. ample of lighting as well but the single window brings in a lot of light in the room. POOL: I didn't use it but my son went twice with his team mates and he said the water temp was good. open until 11pm. GYM & LAUNDRY: both are in one room. used the Home 2 side. they were clean and big enough. did laundry on our last night and while the clothes were drying I used the treadmill. there were 2 washers ($2.50) and 2 dryers ($1.50) [I'm just not too sure about the prices though]. gym with 4 treadmills, 2 elliptical machines, 1 regular bike and a peloton bike. some weights on the other side of the gym and an exercise ball. the water dispenser was empty when I was there. BREAKFAST: on both days of our stay there were scramble eggs, sausage patties, potatoes, French toast, make your own pancake, breads, muffins, bagels, cereals, make your own yogurt, oatmeal, box of almond milk and fresh fruits - bananas, orange and oranges. never had to wait for a table, always available. supply of food never ran out. fresh brewed of coffee - decaf and dark roast. packets of hot chocolate and tea provided as well. Overall stay was very pleasant and definitely will not complain should our team book this one again for next yr.
