I occasionally travel for work, and my stay at Super 8 Cody was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had. Heather, the evening front desk clerk, made check-in effortless with her professionalism and warm demeanor. Genni, the housekeeper, went above and beyond — my room was spotless and welcoming, a true reflection of care and pride in her work. And Ingrid, the morning front desk clerk, brightened my morning with her comforting smile, friendly conversation, and graceful hospitality. “Great pet-friendly property with cool little “hiking trail””

I was looking for a budget-minded, pet-friendly place to stay. I didn’t expect there to be a hiking trail on the property. My fitness app measured the distance of one full loop at about 0.2 miles. The elevation gain appears to be about 50 ft. It’s nicely lit at night and has numerous poop bag dispensers and benches. I’ve never seen anything like this at a hotel anywhere.

I have three primary conditions of any lodging property I stay at, be it a 5-star international resort or a quaint Ma-and-Pa motel; they are, was I physically safe at the property; was I physically comfortable at the property; and would a reasonable person conclude I got what I paid for (value) at the property. The Super 8 Cody meets all these; it is perhaps the best Super 8 Motel I have ever stayed in nationwide. For safety: Cody, Wyoming is a conservative seasonal tourist destination and a physically safe environment. The Super 8 Motel is on Cody’s west end set off the highway; a clean, comfortable side of town. No suspect properties or loud scruffiness near the motel. The well-lit motel parking lot is easily accessible off the highway. The motel has keyless coded card access to the building after hours and for the motel rooms. The building is in excellent condition, no torn carpets, broken doors, etc., which could cause falls. My room was also in excellent condition, the best I’ve stayed in nationwide for a Super 8. Motel room door secured by deadbolt lock and pivoting door block. The room was spotlessly clean, with all appliances in working condition. No stains or smells anywhere. Bathroom was spotless. Attention to detail is remarkable here. Lots of room and hot water in the bathroom too. Bathroom has shower tub combination, which I like. Single king bed was comfortable with many pillows. No highway sounds or road noise. Quiet place. Pets are allowed here. The motel has a pet walking area, too. A minor disappointment, however, is their continental breakfast. Not much other than 24-hour available coffee and packaged breakfast burritos which you heat in a microwave. Enough to get you back on the road, but that is about it. For value, in April my room cost was $114.00 per night, tax included. I stayed one night. Not bad for Cody, Wyoming, during the off-tourist season. I suspect it will be much higher in the summer. I would stay here again without hesitation. For safety, comfort, and value, it will be hard to beat in touristy Cody.

The staff was nice. Our room was musty. We had to open the window to air it out . It was pretty strong. The carpet needs to be updated. One of our blankets had a burn hole on it. Water pressure was good. It was in a good location. They do have a computer in the breakfast area for guest to use. Good parking area. If in town for a few days you must see the Buffalo Bill museum. It is great!
