Staff was first day in opening the hotel after winter. Everyone working to be so helpful, friendly and kind. Hotel was squeaky clean and beautiful! Had a great stay with dinner and breakfast in the dining room.

“Nicest hotel in the park”

We are a family of 6 visiting for the first time. We needed 2 rooms so the stay was expensive but worth being in the park for 4 nights. The rooms were very nice. We are a family of 6 visiting for the first time. We needed 2 rooms so the stay was expensive but worth being in the park for 4 nights. The rooms were very nice. Some parts of the hotel are nicer than others because of more recent remodels. We stayed in a less recent remodel for the first night and asked you transfer rooms so we could be closer to our other room and to get a quieter room. Our first room was noisy. The heater clanked and the pipes knocked. Our second room was smaller and over the entrance, but still much quieter and nicer. The is kind and accommodating as much as they have power to be. food options are very slim so we were glad we brought a cooler with breakfast and lunch options.

“One and done but some joyful employees saved the day!”

On our recent trip to Yellowstone, one of the hotels we stayed at was the Lake Yellowstone Hotel. We were scheduled to stay two nights. After a long day and a totally frustrating check-in process, we discovered the hotel had no internet, despite it being advertised, along with several other issues. We decided to call the company we booked through to cancel the second night. We ultimately decided to stay because Secretta from Texas, our hostess at dinner, was such a bright light and so full of joy that she convinced us we should give the hotel a second chance. The next day was difficult as well, with altitude sickness and no housekeeping service throughout the day. We eventually needed to get ready for dinner, so we tracked down a housekeeping employee for fresh towels and let them know to skip cleaning our room. It was too late. Going to dinner turned out to be the highlight of another challenging day. Secretta did not seat us that evening, but she came over to our table to chat and reassured us that feeling fatigued and unwell was completely normal at that altitude. She also shared highlights of things to see in Yellowstone. Everything about her was joyful—her hair, her glasses, her stories, and her enthusiasm for her seasonal job. On the second night, dinner took a very long time. Everyone around us was being served, and we later learned that the kitchen had not prepared my meal correctly. Joshua, who was attentive and committed to getting it right, had my order remade twice. We were grateful he chose to correct the issue rather than rush it out, which meant my husband’s meal wouldnt get cold while waiting. Food was very good. The next morning, Jesse from South Carolina was our server. He had such a positive spirit and genuine love for his work. He shared stories and local highlights and sent us off feeling that, at the very least, the dining staff had made our stay worthwhile. Breakfast Buffet was really good.
