Sumptous breakfast buffet from Holiday Inn hotel. Location is good. Lots ofod resto around. Request to change our room as there was no bidet as per picture advertised. WiFi was weak, aircon less cooling room 726. Transfer was granted the next day but the room was smaller Room725. Requested several times about their itinerary list tour but no reply. The bellboy suddenly disappeared at the reception so we have to pull our luggage’s and carry it on the stairs till to the front area of Holiday Inn as our airport transfer was there already as per time booked.

Istaravshan apartment hotel Conveniently located near the metro is a useful location for mobility across Tashkent & for sightseeing A well appointed room has a large bed, table & 4 chairs, wardrobe & a kitchenette. An excellent breakfast was provided in the Holiday Inn next door. Access to breakfast is a circuitous around a service corridor with no lift access to the Holiday Inn, this needs addressing & is unhelpful for people with mobility issues who are forced to use a staircase. The breakfast the Holiday Inn was fabulous, something for everyone. They even gave us a packed breakfast as we departed in the early hours on our last day. Housekeeping came in daily with fresh towels everyday although the towels were past their best and not the best quality. It is worth asking the hotel to arrange a transfer for you on arrival but it will be expensive. Local taxis are more fairly priced. Be aware that the hotel is noisy, the aircon unit can be noisy but they have some sort of air infiltration system of the roof & as the apartments are on floor 7 at times there is heavy noisy banging which is disturbing. The reception staff are variable in their friendliness and professionalism which means that you avoid talking to them. Davour (Dave) is by far the best. A typical response from one of the other men to the noises was, ‘this is a city there are noises!’ You do not get the impression that they are very interested in your comfort. Payment with cards is not always possible so be prepared to take dollars and pay in cash.
