If you're looking for a place to relax. Then this is the good choise. Good food & friendly service. There are many traditional local food & fresh fruit here. Actually, their standard is 4 stars but I would like to vote 5* for my nice vacation here. Will come back

My wife and I spent 7 nights at the Van Chai Resort and cannot say enough about it. The staff, specifically THUY, gave us absolutely amazing service and set up any tours we wanted to do. Our return destination had a severe virus outbreak, so we had to urgently rearrange several aspects of our trip, visa situation, and various scheduling. She handled everything on a very personal level. Additionally, the staff is all very nice at all times of the day/night, most/all with very good English; they even invited us to join their Tet celebration with fruit, wine, and red packets! The massage service was great! The gym is a little bit small, but the pool area and views make up for it. The garden area is big and we spent every night walking through it or by the seaside. The restaurant food was very good and prices are more than fair. The town was not busy, but we went during the winter months, so the off-season for beach towns. I expect it is very busy in the summer! We got a free upgrade and were able to get a taste of a few different room styles. They're all charming and well-equipped with basic necessities.

If you’d like to immerse yourself in domestic Vietnamese holiday culture, this is the place to go. Sam Son isn’t exactly geared for westerners like some other north Vietnam coastal destinations, but if you can handle being a bit on the edge, keep reading. Yes, it’s a 3hr drive from Hanoi, but hire cars are a reasonably priced option to get you there. It’s totally worth it if you’re the type to leave your expectations behind and just want something different to experience. Van Chai has a few rough edges, but really just a beautiful setting with heaps of rustic charm and character. The accommodations are probably sub-3 star to a westerner, but the experience is 5 star, due to the amenities, service and food. We were a bit critical about some of its shortfalls for the first few days (we stayed 9), then we found ourselves falling in love with it. Everyone is so friendly and, well, if you like seafood, you’ll probably not want to leave. The seafood here is insane (coming from an Aussie who lives in a fishing town). Just remember to leave your expectations behind, stay at least a week, get a massage or 3 and forget about the world you left behind. Perhaps avoid local school holidays 😁 also, the local beaches aren’t great, but the on-site pools are. Special mention to Thuy who made sure our every need was attended to 💕

“Tradional and comfortable”

The hotel is green, clean, comfortable and environment friendly. The staffs are helpful. Hotel restaurant directs to the beach. The food served in the hotel is adequate. It is the best hotel in Samson.
