I nearly didn’t book Novotel Premier Han River Danang because the rates were noticeably higher than other international chain hotels. In the end, we made a very last-minute booking for one night just before the DIFF 2026 finale, when prices were understandably high. That one night eventually became two, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. The reason the premium was worthwhile was Anie at the front desk. While we were waiting to be escorted to the lounge for check-in, we had a casual conversation with her. Through her initiative and genuine willingness to help, we ended up extending our stay by another night, which meant we got to watch the spectacular DIFF finale fireworks from the balcony of our room on the 30th floor. She didn’t have to go the extra mile, but she did. She was warm, professional, and genuinely caring, and she completely changed our impression of the stay. Overall, the service throughout the hotel was excellent. Every staff member we interacted with was professional and courteous, and the hospitality was consistently strong. There were, however, a few areas that could be improved. The biggest issue was the lift system. Even on a normal day, waiting 10-15 minutes for an elevator seemed common, and during DIFF the situation became much worse. It significantly affected the guest experience. We also encountered a couple of room maintenance issues. The kettle produced black plastic-like debris after boiling water, and the iron emitted black particles from its steam vents. Housekeeping replaced promptly, which we appreciated, but these are quality control issues that ideally should have been identified before the room was assigned. Breakfast at the main restaurant offered a good selection and was enjoyable. The Executive Lounge, however, had a much more limited breakfast spread, and the quality wasn’t noticeably better to justify choosing it over the main restaurant. Despite the shortcomings, we left with very positive memories thanks to the outstanding service, especially from Anie, and the unforgettable opportunity to watch the DIFF finale from our balcony.

I had a wonderful 3-day experience at Novotel Da Nang. I stayed in a clean, airy room with a stunning view of the fireworks. The room was spacious and beautiful, the bed was well-made, and the housekeeping staff were friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive, always keeping the room clean so I could relax and enjoy my stay. I will definitely return next time.

“Breakfast”

I don’t like buffet breakfast so I called the guest relations and asked if I could have à la carte breakfast at 1- after I have finished my gym routine and I was told yes. When I went to the restaurant I was told no. I asked if the chef could prepare an English before me but he said NO.
