“Our wonderful experience with this resort”

In occasion of our dad’s birthday. We’re having a trip to Phu Yen. After searching around on booking. We decided to choose Sao Mai Resort for our accommodation. We are so excited to write this review . At first we are welcomed by securities with happy smile even we checked in at 5am in the morning. Then bellboy picked our luggages and escorted us to our room. Just wow , can’t believe that our room are massive in size and cosy. Furnitures were all solid wood, and bathroom was designed with sunlight throughout all around . 7am next day , we are served with delicious meals which offered variously traditional food or western food. After breakfast , resort offered us to visit all around their places by electric shuttle bus. We are showed their whole hill which has small zoo, spa, gymnastic area which cover tennis court, gym, football field ... Then they let our kids enjoyed massive swimming pool and playground . After that , receptionists offered us to go to their other famous place which call “yellow and green hill “. It literally is a hill whole covered with well looked after grass and chrysanthemums. Trust me, this is one of the most beautiful place i have seen . After this they let us free to enjoy our trip to other places . Today is second day we stay here. Same as yesterday we enjoyed our buffet then went out. We went back resort and got a big surprise, they invited us to join their ending year celebration party. We felt like we are vip guests and also their family. We will check out tomorrow , we just wanna give a 5 stars positive feedback for them for “ professional staffs, beautiful plus luxurious room’s furnitures and design, delicious food, good location with private beach etc.” Will stay here again next trip .

“Worth every single penny! ”

We have a trip to Phu Yen yesterday, and after decided to take the motorbike from Quý Nhon city, we arrive after 3 hours driving, and stay there for 1 night. We could say that this trip worth every penny when the staff always welcome us by a sweet smile, even we doesn’t look like a fancy guests, but they always willing to answer every requirement and show us the way to some restaurant nearby even we don’t use their service. The breakfast was plenty of option: western and Asian and local style as well. The scenery was beautiful, peaceful. The facilities was modern, this resort locate in the middle of the jungle, they also have a insect-proof door if you want to open the door or window to enjoy the fresh air. If you are a bookaholic, they have a library, you are swimmer, this place is definitely for you when they have a beautiful swimming pool.... Just one thing, this resort is located quite far away to the tourist attraction so it a bit inconvenient if you want to go around. If you can afford for a taxi, or rent a motorbike, there is no problem. Thanks for everything. It’s sad when I cannot find the tip box in this resort! Sorry for that.

“Superb villa with great view”

I stayed here with friends in the 2-bedroom pool villa. The villa was very comfortable (even though it rained every day). The bathroom doors allowing access to the pool area are a very practical touch. The staff were wonderful - very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast delivered to the villa each day. Breakfast was varied, delicious, and there was plenty of food. The electric cart service was prompt and efficient. The main restaurant is excellent - great food and great service. Overall I thoroughly recommend VietStar Resort for a relaxing stay.

We stayed here for a few days and got a good "pandemic discount." The first night was in a standard room, which was very nice - not too big, but decorations and amenities were tasteful and it felt pretty luxurious. Then we moved to a deluxe room (free upgrade), which was much larger and had a huge (really huge) bathroom. That room was nice but had more insects, which the staff were good about spraying but still... It was rainy season, so I guess they couldn't do much about it. The grounds go on for acres. There's even a little "zoo" (very little, but they had some deer and ostriches that we saw) and a kitschy manmade cave that you can drive through. The pool was very large but the waterfall was turned off. Again, we were practically the only guests staying at the resort, so from their standpoint, it made sense not to have everything going on just for the few guests present. Breakfast was fabulous and dinner at the restaurant was also very good. In fact, we had no need to ever go into Tuy Hoa. They offer free shuttles to their private beach and even offered to take us to a store that sold raincoats. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they were really great. They insisted on giving us a ride from the main building to our room since it was raining, but it would have been about a two-minute walk. So they really went above and beyond. If you want to explore the area, you really do need to have your own transportation; there's nothing within walking distance. Bai Xep Beach is about a 10-minute drive away, and the other main beach (and cool attraction), Ganh Da Dia, is about an hour's drive. I'd rate this 4.5 overall, and if I'm in the area again, I'd stay here if it was the same price as what we paid this time - but at the full posted price, it wouldn't have been nearly as good of a value.
