I wish to compliment cleaning lady Rosa on the great job she did each day, cleaning my room to a extremely high standard. Well done Rosa. I was not sure when i first booked my accomodation with the hotel down a small lane, but it certainly proved to be a winner. KEELY on the front desk was extremely hard working and lovely to deal with, she has been there for over 10yrs, this proved to me that it must be a very good place to work at. I think there are only 12-14 rooms which also adds to its beauty. It is close to everything.

“Good bargain hotel close to the sights”

My wife and I booked a Superior double room incl bfast here for 6 nights in February. We requested a transfer (for approx £12) by emailing the hotel and were met at Tan Son Nhat International airport as arranged. This proved to be a good move as the hotel was further from the airport that we had expected and the traffic was awful. Check-in was quick and easy and we were given a room at the back of the hotel on a higher (10th) floor as requested. Our room was quiet and spacious with a large comfortable bed. There was a wardrobe (but no drawers), a fridge (no free drinking water!), kettle (cups, but no supplies), TV (some English channels), table and 2 chairs and complimentary flip-flops. There was no room safe but valuables could be kept at reception free of charge. The aircon, hairdryer and Wifi worked well. The bathroom had a shower/bath combo with good pressure and plenty of hot water. 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, a bathmat, 2 small soaps, 2 sachets shampoo, 2 toothbrushes and a comb were provided. The cleaner came daily but did not clean the floors or bath and on one occasion left no towels or toiletries. However these were quickly obtained from reception. The breakfast area was on the ground floor. The breakfast buffet selection was small but adequate. You were offered a choice of eggs (fried, scrambled, omelette) cooked to order. The buffet itself consisted of 3 hot asian dishes, bread/toast, cakes (2 types), fresh fruit (usually watermelon), juice, (not replaced once finished), tea and coffee. Milk was kept behind the counter and you had to ask for it every time you wanted a splash in your tea or coffee. There were 2 convenience stores close by (the Vinmart minimart across the street was cheaper than the CircleK) and there was a large Co-op supermarket at the end of the street (about 10 mins walk away). My wife and I thought this hotel was very good value for money. It was in an excellent location and staff were friendly and helpful. We had an enjoyable stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel or staying here again if we are in the area. This review is based solely on my experience and I hope you have found it helpful.

I travel to Saigon often for business and like staying in this area of District 1. It's close to a nice park and lots of restaurants, and the streets lined with towering trees is delightful. I have stayed at Little Brick several times over the last year. But this time will be the last. It no longer deserves its 8+ rating on Booking.com and elsewhere. Staff sleep in the lobby and were not polite. They now charge for water when almost every hotel gives a couple of bottles free. Rooms are still clean but getting tired. Wallpaper peeling from the walls, lightbulbs that don't work or don't fit into the lamp so they give off bad light. With so many hotels in district 1, you can do better. Go somewhere else.

“Ok for what you pay”

This is a decent 2*, you basically get what you pay for. Nicely located, all main sights walking distance. Staff could be friendlier. City is really hot and so a/c was a god send. Noisy during the night.
