My son and his wife live in district 7 and this was an ideal place to stay at the beginning of my holiday. The one bedroom apartment, with kitchen and seating area was spacious and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend if wanting to be in this part of Ho Chi Minh City.

To be very clear, this Novotel is NOT really a traditional hotel, and once you understand that, you'll calibrate your expectations correctly. It's a well-run, apartment-style property with spacious rooms, a kitchenette, and a reliably warm team. Purpose-built for business travellers and long-stay guests, it does what it does competently. But it has some real gaps that the marketing glosses over, no pool being the biggest one for a Novotel-branded property. LOCATION:District 7 / Phu My Hung is clean, modern, walkable, and refreshingly free of District 1's chaos and traffic. The Crescent Mall is a five-minute walk, FV Hospital is eight minutes on foot, and the SECC convention centre is practically at the doorstep — ideal if that's your reason for being here. The problem is everything else. District 1, with Ben Thanh Market, the Old Quarter, and the city's restaurant and nightlife scene, is a solid 20–25 minute drive away under normal conditions DINE + DRINK: The Food Exchange restaurant handles breakfast well — a decent buffet with Vietnamese and international options, though the spread is modest rather than generous. For a hotel at this tier, breakfast not being included by default (it's charged separately at around USD 16 per person) is a noticeable pinch. ROOM: We stayed in Room 814, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Decent view of the nearby buildings; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality toiletries FACILITIES: The Gym is the absolute HIGHLIGHT of this place. A fully equipped Gym with a great range of weights, workout stations, and Cardio machines was a surprising delight at a place like this! There's a sauna and steam room, plus a co-working space and laundromat that long-stay guests will appreciate. A 7-Eleven on the ground floor is genuinely convenient SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to KYLE from the front desk for enhancing our stay HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages
