Despite our early arrival, Marco graciously accommodated us immediately. The room offered stunning views of the mountains, which set the tone for a fantastic stay. After check-in, we explored the hotel area and took in the breathtaking scenery. For lunch, we dined at the hotel's restaurant and enjoyed Prosciutto Melone paired with a glass of prosecco. The meal was excellent, and I highly recommend trying the hotel's own olive oil and wines – they are a must-taste! We spent the afternoon by the pool, which was a peaceful and pleasant spot. The infinity pool was a highlight, offering spectacular views. It wasn't crowded, so we could relax and enjoy the sun and scenery in peace. In the evening, we drove to the city of Lucca. We spent the night there and returned to the hotel quite late. I highly recommend having your own car or scooter for convenience and ease of travel. Breakfast at the hotel was fantastic and included in the price. There was a large variety of breads, croissants, cheeses, tomato mozzarella, coffee, and yogurts. Everything was fresh and delicious, providing a great start to our day. On our last night, we tried dinner at the hotel. The dinner slot was between 8-9 pm, which was a brilliant time as the sunset transformed the lighting of the entire valley during dinner. There were plenty of options to choose from, and we also tried the hotel's own wine, which was excellent! Overall, we loved this hotel and will definitely return. The views, food, and hospitality were top-notch, making it a memorable experience. Highly recommended for a serene and beautiful getaway. Big thanks to Marco and the team!

“Beautiful Villa Hotel hidden away in the hills.”

Loads of good points : Location, quietness, rooms, fabulous pools, staff, particularly the staff working in restaurant. Loads of good points : Location, quietness, rooms, fabulous pools, staff, particularly the staff working in restaurant. Things that stopped me giving 5 stars, breakfast, reasonably high quality just a bit serve yourself which doesnt fit in with rest of service. The owner, definitely a bit hit and miss with us and other guests. Sometimes charming occasionaly brusque, his wife who checked us in was utterly charming. As for getting there, taxis are cheaper if you book yourself, 30 euro as opposed to 50 into Lucca. It's a reasonable cycle up from the main valley, but great views. Would stay again for the ambience and pool.

The villa itself is utterly breathtaking and will not disappoint. we found lunch was lovely (and were provided for after the service closed) breakfast was mediocre. they produce their own wine and olive oil, both were excellent and very very reasonably priced. landscaping is impeccable. Disliked · this hotel is NOT 5.5KM as implied on every sight we looked on (Most important thing i can say is that a taxi one way from lucca was 40 euro's. as we did it twice and one at around midnight we ended up spending nearly 200 euros on taxi fares. our driver set his meter and it was over 17KM just short of 20). and is zone three ( so when you leave villa the money goes flying up instantly ( we were lucky but make sure your driver amends the meter at every zone he enters) it is nowhere near lucca itself so expect additional costs. taxi rank is immediately outside station so readily accessible but do not believe the pin and distance as the taxi fares soon add up which we found to our cost, oh, don,t think about biking its an insane incline upwards. i hope this helps somebody with their booking decisions. it really is worth the extra its gorgeous and the views are spectacular
