Stayed here for four days and for the most part it was a good stay. The people who work there are hard workers but definitely ran on island time. Daily cleaning off the beach of seaweed.. that’s just part of the Caribbean really can’t be stopped. I would definitely stay here again. I had a great view of the ocean although when we originally got there we had to change rooms because the one they put us in was kind of outdated. Coki beach is a must and they have a shuttle.

“Beautiful Views, But Too Many Inconveniences”

I recently stayed at Margaritaville Vacation Club - St. Thomas with my husband from May 19–20, and overall the experience was mixed. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed, which set a positive tone for the stay. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a king-size bed, sofa bed, kitchen, and a nice bathroom setup. However, it’s important to note that there is no housekeeping service, which may be inconvenient depending on the length of your stay. Unfortunately, the beach on the property was very disappointing and not as advertised. It was completely covered in seaweed/sargassum, making it inaccessible during our visit. The good news is that Coki Beach is just a short walk away and was absolutely beautiful and clean, with plenty of food and drink options. My husband had the jerk chicken and I had the oxtails (served with rice & peas, sweet plantains, and salad)—everything was delicious and the portions were generous. The layout of the resort is also something to consider—rooms are located far from the main entrance and situated on hills. While golf cart transportation is available, wait times can be inconvenient, so be prepared for a lot of walking. The infinity pool with the swim-up bar was a standout feature, offering beautiful views and a great atmosphere. That said, it’s located at the top of a hill with many stairs, which could be a concern—especially after drinking, as it may not feel very safe navigating back down. The on-site restaurant was underwhelming. The food was subpar, the drinks were watered down, and even the coffee tasted very weak. The only highlight was our waiter, Chris, who provided good service and made decent food recommendations. Also, be aware that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all purchases, including at the pool. One of the more frustrating aspects was the vacation club/timeshare presentation setup. While incentives like discounted excursions, a $100 voucher, and a free airport taxi sound appealing, there was poor communication from the concierge team. We were not informed about restrictions (such as not drinking before the presentation), did not receive a confirmation text with details, and were not assisted with booking the promised return taxi. When we tried to arrange it the following day, we were told it was already fully booked. The presentation itself is scheduled for 1.5 hours, but it does run longer as they continue trying to sell you on the offer and go over pricing details. We did speak with a manager regarding these issues, and she ultimately rectified the taxi situation by booking us a ride for the day of our departure at no cost to us, which we appreciated. Overall, while there are some nice amenities and friendly staff, the inconsistencies, lack of communication, and missing services made this stay feel average at best.

We are long time Wyndham owners dating back to Fairfield Timeshare in the 90's. We made our reservation for Margaritaville in St Thomas in December 2025 before they became their own entity. We were aware of the sargasm issue as it is in most tropical regions. Despite having no beach and the stench of the sargasm by the restaurant, we still chose to stay there . Limetree was full which would have been our first choice. Compared to our last stay there in 2023 I can say the office staff was more professional. However we were very disappointed in the "attitudes" of the restaurant staff. The hostess needs to be reminded of the definition of welcoming folks to their establishment. We had an awesome waiter one evening, Chris, who truly made you feel he enjoyed his work and his customers. The others were just downright mean and disrespectful. . I guess it doesn't matter how you act to the customers when your tip of 18% is already added to the bill! Our breakfast waitress tried to get us to leave a cash tip when it was clearly stated the bill contains the tip. When we met with the mandatory salesman, he told us we were low on the priority list since we declined to buy into Margaritaville. Any input we gave was shot down. I had some safety concerns in the room as the microwave is over the refrigerator and it makes removing hot items dangerous. There was a hole in the wall by the bed that was there 3 years ago as we stayed in the same room. Overall the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Being next to Coki beach is a plus for the beautiful beach and snorkeling - pick non cruise days! You may have a different experience so go for it!
