What a wonderful hotel. It was recommended by a local friend in Eltville for a long weekend. I was given the penthouse and it is just beautiful. It’s a huge room with the most amazing furniture and bathroom. It has the biggest sofa I’ve ever seen. Lots of different lighting to choose from and a long thin balcony with chairs and a table overlooking the square. There is a large wardrobe area which contained seat covers for the outside chairs as well as a couple of pairs of sunglasses and extra bedding etc. Lots of small attention to details. There is a small fridge in the room as well as a coffee machine. The bed is huge and very comfortable. There is a welcome brochure, I think, on the desk, it is only in German so if you cannot speak/read German, as I can’t, then you will have no idea what it says. Luckily the owners spoke great English, I did try my years old German but I failed miserably. The breakfast area on the ground floor is as lovely as the penthouse. I love the individually patterned chairs. The food is delicious. You are given some cheese which the owners produce themselves from their cows on the hills and locally produced meats. You can choose different styles of eggs. The eggs with herbs, cheese and tomatoes is definitely recommended and now a favourite of mine. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I was due to take a train to Frankfurt airport but they were all cancelled on the day. The owner phoned a few taxi firms and found someone he knew, Sammy, who was reasonable and also very friendly. They made that much easier for me. I recommend staying at this hotel and I’ll be back next year. Thank you for a lovely and comfortable stay.

“Outstanding in every way!”

The room, the breakfast and the service were all to die for. The room was spacious and comfortably fitted a huge bed and also a full size wardrobe. The room, the breakfast and the service were all to die for. The room was spacious and comfortably fitted a huge bed and also a full size wardrobe. There was also a large writing desk and an arm chair in the corner. The bed was so comfortable and spacious I forgot I was sharing it! The bathroom was very large and bursting with amenities. Excellent quality toiletries and all the extras you never thought would be provided in a hotel - face powder, make up brush and more. The toilet and the shower were back to back with each other with a wall in between, which was a clever way of utilising the space. The best thing was that there was a warming light in the bathroom and it really did keep me warm when I came out of the shower. I was very impressed. Breakfast next day was the true highlight. The staff served us a buffet at our table, beginning with bread, cold cuts and cheese, and explained where each ingredient was from and why each was chosen. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and the support for local produce. After that we could order any breakfast item we wanted and they would bring it to the table. We ate like royalty! We enjoyed our stay so much and we would love to be back!

Small hotel with just 9 rooms in the centre of a small town with historical roots. A former fire station was revamped in a stylish hotel with just 9 rooms and a small café. On sunny days the square before the hotel functions as a terrace for coffee or drinks. The owners made it into a very tastfull retreat. The breakfast room/restaurant has warm colours and cosy furniture. The whole has a certain “organic” look, quite fashionable now in Germany. We were upgraded to a magnificent penthouse, with state-of-the-art lighting, TV and soundsystem. Large floor to ceiling sliding windows open on a small terrace, overlooking the square in front of the hotel. There is ample parking behind and under the hotel, as well as in front, the latter just after business hours. The service is impeccable, from help with the suitcases, the local information, the quality of the tea and other beverages and food. Breakfast is served at your table, with fresh rolls, juice, etc. and meat and cheese with a pedigree! Everything is from nearby producers and in keeping the “green” image of the modern guesthouse. No buffet here, but personal service. Prices are in line with the area, so we will return most certainly next time we are in or around Eltville.

When guest return! It only signals one element. They are must have had a great past stay and are looking forward to another great stay once again. 1. Owners-Marc and Robert are the most amazing host at this boutique hotel together with their extended staff consisting of Dalmar and Sham! Just outstanding!!! 2. Breakfast served by different owners on different days offer a twist to variations and thus that explained why we could stay here for a good 1 week and yet we look forward to the daily breakfast treats. (Same same but different) 3. The room is bright and cheerful and provided lots of space. Love the tub as well..and its huge!And there is a walk in wardrobe alongside with a mini kitchenette. However for those who arent able to climb steps. This room has a lot of steps as its the loft. There are other ground level rooms. 4. Their cafe offers the best carrot cake ever!!!! Cake station opens after 10am ..and it does get sold out very quickly! 6. The cheese from the cafe is from the owners cheese farm in the swiss alps. They are well aged and super. 6. Sheltered Private parking offered at €10/day all day multiple entires and exits. 7. Perfect location all within walking distance to the Rheingau River and to shops and famous restaurants such as Than and Luc * 7. Will we be back next year? Of course. 1st choice on the list without a blink!!! 10/10
