What a great hotel. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt at home. The staff were lovely and friendly. The hotel was pristine. The rooms were spacious and very clean. It is a 20 minute walk into the old town, which was fine for us. The bar/restaurant was very relaxed. The breakfast is a tale of two halves. Thursday and Friday were fine, lots of room, no problem at all. However Saturday and Sunday were both very busy, with a shortage of tables. There was no organisation and couples were taking large tables, leaving families and other groups with nowhere to sit. There was also a lot of queue skipping. Perhaps a booking system for breakfast when the hotel is busy would be a solution or someone there to direct people to appropriate tables. I would definitely stay in a H2 Hotel again

First impressions were good - the lobby area was modern and had a lovely smell, and the member of staff at check in (Amir) was really friendly and talkative. We were offered the option of foregoing the daily housekeeping for a €5 voucher per day which can be spent on food/drinks so we went for this option. Breakfast is included which was a nice surprise and is served buffet style. There was plenty of choice including a few hot items, toast, pastries etc. The room was a good size and was very modern with lights and shutters etc controlled by a touchpad. The room and amenities are quite simple but it’s a minimalistic style. There is a huge full length mirror and also full length windows so the room is nice and light. Our bathroom did have a door that could close off either the toilet or the shower so we had no issues with this. Would’ve liked a few more nicer toiletries, although there is a hairdryer. The hotel is in a good location right by the river and it’s easy enough to walk to the main centre/train station or walk a few minutes to the bus stop. Only slight negatives: Breakfast was very busy on the Saturday and it took a while for items to be replenished. We were unfortunate to have a fire alarm in the middle of the night - the fire brigade were there within minutes but the organisation and communication from hotel staff was poor. It wasn’t until we asked upon check out that we found out it was just a technical issue that had occurred.

“Mediocre hotel”

Pros - very friendly staff, good breakfast and nice lobby. Cons - small rooms, shower is in the bedroom with a glass door so privacy could be an issue, the ac didn't work even after reporting it, and the amenities are minimal. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, no closets, no furni… more

Pros - very friendly staff, good breakfast and nice lobby. Cons - small rooms, shower is in the bedroom with a glass door so privacy could be an issue, the ac didn't work even after reporting it, and the amenities are minimal. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, no closets, no furniture other than the beds, no coffee maker and no Kleenex. There are no ice makers in the entire hotel and none in the on site restaurant.
