Had a great experience at this property when visiting family. This is a somewhat "elevated" Residence that I would say is comparable with a 3.5* Marriott Suites in terms of look and feel but with the features (kitchen, breakfast) of the mostly 3* Residence properties. The property is about a dozen years old, but has been kept up very nicely - clean halls, room looked fresh with no visible wear. Lobby and other public areas looked great. The property does tend to be on the higher side in terms of pricing vs comparable hotels nearby but it feels as if this is a property that has chosen to compete on service rather than competing on price and not only does the property seem well maintained, but every interaction with staff was very nice. Location is tucked away on a side street and off the expressway but didn't really encounter outside noise. There isn't much right around the hotel but Old Orchard mall and a lot ot other options are within a couple min drive. You're not going to get much in the way of views - one side looks largely at the building next door, the other at the nearby area with perhaps some views on high floors of the city in the verrrry far distance - but limited views are common with suburban hotels. Wanted a better chance at a good experience with the hotel so paid more for a hotel with better reviews than most in the area. The bar was high but this hotel actually was worth it. Can't really find anyhting to complain about. Again, interesting that a hotel that tends to be on the higher/high end pricing wise vs comparable 3* properties in the area gets consistently better reviews.

My husband and I were looking for a hotel outside the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago and happened to find this gem. Great location with a mall and stores nearby. We had a wonderful stay. The check in process was smooth and the staff was pleasant. The room was spacious, quiet and exactly what we needed during our almost 2 week stay. We usually cook whenever we stay at a Residence Inn. There were limited pots and pans, but we made it work. Housekeeping refreshed our linens daily, and did a full clean after we stayed a week. There were numerous options for breakfast including cereals, breads, eggs, yogurt, fruit, tea/coffee, etc. The only drawback was there was only 1 new breakfast item every day. The other options were the same during our entire stay. We will definitely be back whenever we visit the Chicago area again!
