Outstanding value for money, complemented by a breathtaking view of the Zambezi River from my room. The cruise was absolutely fantastic, the food and the guide were on point, and the site of hippos was spectacular.

My stay was great. I highly recommend David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa for its exceptional riverside location on the Zambezi, just minutes from Victoria Falls. The rooms are spacious with stunning river views, and the staff deliver warm, attentive service. Dining was a highlight—fresh local dishes and although i did not participate in the sunset cruises due to time which could have had another great impression. The pool and spa added real relaxation during my stay. For the best experience, request a river-facing room which i had and try the guided falls tour arranged by the hotel. The hotel is ideal for both leisure and business travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and authentic Zambian hospitality which i experienced.

“Excellent Location.....”

The lodge is in an excellent location situated in a small reserve.. Was quite cool to have a monkey sat outside on the roof on our balcony..... The lodge is in an excellent location situated in a small reserve.. Was quite cool to have a monkey sat outside on the roof on our balcony..... Rooms are clean and well equipped - good size with full bathroom including bath tub Mosquito nets around the bed and sprays in the room Staff are great in the upstairs restaurant for breakfast and dinner - not so sure about in Uijiji downstairs..... bit of a couldn't care less attitude Downside - lack of sunbeds around the pool - especially when many children put towels on them and don't get out of the pool for hours.... Snack drinks menu is incorrect but not advised... prices we expected to pay were "apparently" not available so more than double charged on a couple of occasions Check your invoice as they tried to charge us for pre-paid accommodation on checking out again Would return if ever back from UK but would check all invoices.....

I stayed at David Livingstone Lodge and Spa, and while the facility itself had potential, my experience was unfortunately marred by poor communication from the staff. On the first night, I had dinner at the lodge. The amount charged for the meal exceeded what was needed to cover the cost. However, neither your staff nor ZAMREN informed me of this at the time. I only discovered that I had an outstanding bill to pay when I was checking out. This was quite inconvenient and frustrating, as such information should be communicated clearly to the guest upfront. I hope the lodge improves its internal communication and ensures that guests are made aware of any discrepancies or extra charges in real time, rather than at checkout. Transparency goes a long way in creating a positive guest experience.
