We had a great 2 night stay at N1 Hotel and Campsite Vic. Falls. The location was great with restaurants and curio markets/elephants walk shopping arcade across the road. We had a great 2 night stay at N1 Hotel and Campsite Vic. Falls. The location was great with restaurants and curio markets/elephants walk shopping arcade across the road. Rooms were clean, comfy beds, tea/coffee facilities and fresh bottles of water daily. Pool onsite was nice and the staff helpful. We booked our tours through Savannah adventures who have an office on-site. Jannet was our tour guide for the Victoria Falls rainforest walk and she was lovely. Very friendly and knowledgeable and kept us updated with when and where to meet her. We had a wonderful time!

“Comfortable”

My wife and I stayed at the N1 Hotel for two nights in May. Overall, it was comfortable and adequate for our needs. We had reserved a premium room but upon arrival were told that the premium rooms were all taken, and were given a standard room instead, and were charged the lower price. The room was small but clean, and it was on the second floor rather than a higher floor. It faced out on the campground, which is a grassy area which was fairly well-used by camper vehicles at night and fairly empty during the day. The staff was friendly. Across the street was a restaurant with live music in the evening. Our window would not close fully, but it probably would not have made that much difference, as the volume of the music was quite high, and similarly, it would not have made much difference being on a higher floor. But the music did not go late into the night and we slept okay. It is possible to purchase breakfast on the entry-level--very affordable simple breakfast fare. The hotel is centrally located. It is possible to walk from the N1 Hotel to the Victoria Falls park, and to the bridge to the Zambia side of Victoria Falls, and to most any of the shops or restaurants in town. There are a few other hotels in town but beyond that, many other hotels are farther out and beyond reasonable walking distance.

My wife and I stayed four nights at N1 in March 2026. The hotel was fine, and we enjoyed the pool in the humid conditions at Vic Falls. The property is well located - you could probably walk to the Falls if you wanted to, though we took a taxi instead. The hotel does a basic but adequate breakfast and there are two or three nice bars and restaurants within a very short walk - 'The Smokehouse' is just across the street, with 'Three Monkeys' a little up the road. Both of these were fine. There is a small convenience store in the hotel itself and a few other shops a 5 or 10 minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the transfer we'd arranged with them from the airport worked well. Overall, we were pleased with our choice and would happily stay again if we return to Victoria Falls.

“A Practical and Well-Located Budget Stay in Victoria Falls”

What was good - The location is excellent for visiting Victoria Falls. You are close to both the border and the entrance to the national park, so in most cases you won’t need to take taxis. - The staff are very attentive, friendly, and genuinely willing to help resolve any issues or requests. - There are three different tour/activity companies operating on the ground floor, which makes it very convenient to organise tours and activities without having to go far, and prices were competitive. - There is a small convenience/liquor store on site where you can buy large bottles of water for around USD $2, which is very handy. - The pool area is spacious and pleasant. - There is a small café/bar where you can have breakfast at competitive prices by Victoria Falls standards. - Both the rooms and the common areas were clean. - The hotel provides complimentary bottled water daily, which is appreciated, especially given the warm weather and the importance of staying hydrated while exploring the area. What could be improved - Room size varies significantly depending on which room you get. The standard double room was small but manageable; however, the standard twin room was extremely compact, and the furniture layout made it genuinely difficult to move around comfortably inside the room — and I’m a fairly small person. - The mattresses are in poor condition and urgently need upgrading. I slept very badly the first night and asked to either change rooms or have a firmer mattress. The staff were extremely helpful and moved us to another room. While the second mattress was slightly better, it was still uncomfortable, and after four nights I ended up with back pain and poor sleep quality. A good mattress is a non-negotiable aspect of any hotel stay, even for a budget hotel like this one. - There is no mini fridge in the rooms, so it’s not possible to store leftover food or keep drinks cold. - Storage space is limited. Small improvements, such as adding hooks to the walls, could make the rooms much more practical and comfortable without requiring major renovations.
