Guests at Hotel Riu Emerald Bay - All Inclusive say: Our stay was so enjoyable at Christmas we returned the end of April. We booked a junior suite directly through Riu. Transport to/from airport was comp. with the loyalty program and we were lucky to not have any stops. Check-in was done online to expedite the process once on site. The junior suite was roomier but the bathroom was a lot smaller than the family rm. The balcony was double the size and the solid wall splitting the railing provided shade. The king bed was comfortable and pillows soft. Always had clean towels and wash clothes and water, etc., was restocked on demand. We found our favourite pool at Christmas so gravitated back to it. The pools and areas were spotless. Staff were constantly picking up abandoned drink glasses, dirty plates from around the pool. Never an issue getting lounge chairs. Rodriquez, who worked the portable bar, was great. He went out of his way to accommodate drink requests. Even when not working his station, he had a smile and warm greeting. All the staff made us feel welcome but the activities crew truly went the extra mile to entice the guests to participate in daily activities and evening shows. In our opinion, the food was very good. The main buffets had large selections of Mexican, American, even vegetarian and kid foods. The Asian buffet was tasty. We didn’t try the Mexican but kudos to the Chef that prepared the fillet wrapped in bacon (Italian buffet) and the pastries -yum. I actually was able to watch an “Oilers” hockey game in the sports bar!! We reserved the junior suite assuming it would be on a higher floor but added a request just in case but got 4th floor. The young lady was able to move us the next day to the 15th floor. THANK YOU - the layout was the same but that view**outstanding**! As far as elevators- we did not experience any lengthy delays. We’ve travelled to Mazatlan for over 20 yrs and Riu has become our favourite all-inclusive. Thanks Again

On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations.
