We have visited this facility for at least 25 times and the hospitality as always was great! The rooms were excellent and very good service. The food was also excellent with lots of choices for whatever you are hungry for. The pool and family environment was also great. My wife and I are both Titanium for Life and this is the resort we keep coming back to. I feel it is one of the best values in the Marriott chain!

Fabulous resort. Beach view, fabulous heated infinity pool that looks out onto the ocean, swim up cocktail bar in the fabulous infinity pool, several choice of very good restaurants, friendly/ helpful staff and amazing spa amenities. Steam room, plunge pools, whirlpool, and sauna. You can’t go wrong staying here. The weather was fabulous, sunny but breezy each day. Our family, my husband, my 2 adult daughters, their spouses and a 4 years old grandson plus me enjoyed our 4 day stay tremendously. Highly recommend

“OVERALL NICE RESORT”

We spent 5 nights at this resort during the last week of March. As soon as we came out of our Uber and walked into the large open air lobby and seating area, we knew we had just arrived at a high end resort. We arrived around 2:30 pm and were in our room by 3:30 pm. The room was a good size for the 2 of us. Room had a king size bed with a firm mattress....a few other reviewers had mentioned beds were too hard but we like firm mattresses so we though the bed was great. The sofa was also firm. We had a balcony with view of the ocean, balcony was small but was enough space for us. Bathroom was spacious with large walk in shower, toilet was in a separate alcove. Room had plenty of drawer and closet space for our clothes. There was a large flat screen tv..for the first 2 nights we didn't have much to watch as most of the channels were in Spanish but on the 3rd night we discovered there was a button on the remote that changed the language to English on most (but not all) of the channels. Room also had a safe and a fridge. We did have a hiccup when we first settled into the room and found the fridge interior was filthy...not sure if it was mold, rust or a combination but it was nasty. We reported it and the fridge was replaced within an hour..but that fridge never should have been left in the room in the first place. The resort grounds are beautiful and expansive. The pool is very large and the water is warm...even though the resort was sold out, the pool never felt crowded, The beach is also a good size..one downside of beach is that the water is rough and the red flags were always posted so while I went into the ocean water regularly I did not go too far in due to the rough water and the signs the resort posted warning of crocodiles. While the pool is nice, the seating by the pool is an issue....The towel game is out of control at this place...if you don't get out there by 8 am to claim your lounger, you are not going to get a space by the pool. What I found especially frustrating was that there were times where all of the loungers had towels on them but fewer than half of the loungers had people sitting in them. If you're a late riser you can usually get a lounger under one of the palapas on the beach but they really need to find a system that doesn't require people on vacation to wake up at 7 something in the morning to claim a seat. There are several bars and restaurants at the resort. We ate most of our breakfasts and dinners off site at the Marina complex which is a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel...the Marina has alot of good restaurants which are more affordable than the restaurants on site at the resort. We did one dinner and one lunch at Champions....Champions is a good choice if you like bar food. We had one lunch at Nosh (poolside bar and restaurant) which was tasty but was a small portion of food for the price they charged. We also had one breakfast at the on site breakfast buffet which is expensive (about $30 USD) but does have a wide selection of choices. If you walk to the Marina, you can get a full cooked to order breakfast for about $10-12 USD. As for the bars, we found that the pool bar and the lobby bar both made excellent cocktails....cocktails at Champions weren't as good, maybe since it's a sports bar it's better to stick with beer and shots at Champions. Overall this is a nice resort and we had a great time. There are 3 reasons why we cannot give this resort a five star rating. 1. the nasty fridge we received when we first entered our room. 2. The towel game at the pool being out of control 3. On our last full day, we decided to treat ourselves to a daybed. The day bed cost $97 for the day....it was very comfortable and we had nice view of the beach and the ocean, we were also close to the pool. Problem we had with the day bed was that we were there from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and the waiter who serviced our area did not approach us even one time to ask if we wanted anything. Meanwhile, we noticed the waiter was providing food/drink service to the white couples and white families that were at the other day beds....consequently, we had to walk to the pool bar to get our own cocktails and had to walk to Champions to get our own lunch. We assume that the waiter for our area was a racist who just didn't want to deal with us (we are a black/white interracial couple). I know that calling someone a racist is a strong accusation but what other explanation is there for the fact that while the waiter kept taking orders and delivering food/drinks for the white guests who occupied the other day beds while treating us like we were invisible. As previously mentioned, we had an excellent time on our Puerto Vallarta vacation but the staff refusing to serve us at our day bed left a bad taste in our mouths.

Booked here during a group outing, big mistake. The place was over run with kids etc. In the bar, in the hot tub. Pool area has not been cleaned. Bird crap on every chair. Hotel is very dates. I’m not one to complain but vacation time is a premium and who wants to be aggravated. Paying top dollar for a sub par stay. If cleanliness is not an issue,this is the place to be
