Myself and my husband stayed here for a week with our two children, 8 and 4. We have honestly have the best week, made possible thanks to this hotel. The staff and food in particular have been the best in any all inclusive we’ve stayed in (and that’s been a lot!). We went to both the Mediterranean and oriental restaurants (both need to be booked) and these were fantastic. In the main buffet we had different food each night and plenty of choice of drinks (the sangria was lovely). The pools are a little cold yes but with the weather being so nice you really don’t notice too much and in fact it is a welcome break from the heat. There are plenty of games going on in the pool and around the pool and the aqua gym is a must each day (my eldest joined in). The entertainment in the evening has been brilliant, not at all what you’d expect from a usual all inclusive. We really enjoyed the 80s night whereby a professional band played classic 80s tunes and got everyone involved. Even the kids stayed up late every night as they enjoyed the entertainment so much. The area where the hotel is situated is also very good. Peaceful but pleasantly busy, lots of restaurants, lovely beach all in walking distance. Albufeira town is only a short taxi ride away and cost us €7 in an Uber. Thoroughly recommend the Zoomarine too which is also a short taxi ride away (€13). Thank you for an amazing stay 3HB (also big shout out to Pablo in the entertainment team keeping our 4 year old thoroughly entertained each day). We will be returning.

“Staff make the hotel exceptional.”

Perfect. From the staff, facilities, location to food and drink, perfect. Just sad we are leaving tomorrow. We came here on our first all inclusive with an 8yr old and 4yr old. Yes the pools are not heated, but when the temperature hit 28 Celsius and given the sheltered position of the hotel grounds, what a relief. You very quickly get used to the water being 17 Celsius and look forward to it. The hotel is incredibly clean. The staff are always busy cleaning, removing cups and plates and restocking the food and drinks. All the while not disturbing or distracting you whilst they do it. Quite a skill when you are lazing on a lounger and realise your empties have vanished. Soft drinks, wines and beer on tap all day. Never seems to run out regardless of how hard we all try. When you do need the staff, they are very very attentive, incredibly friendly and do there utmost to help, even when I try to speak Portuguese and sound like officer crabtree from 'allo 'allo. No question or quibble. I have had the fortune to stay in a couple of five star hotels over the years, and Guaraná competes strongly on service from the staff alone. We were able to relax and let our 8 year old loose (apologies to the hotel staff for the never ending getting drinks and ice cream) and have total confidence that he was safe knowing he can play and swim safely, within eye sight of us and staff keeping a look out. There was so much for both to do and they were both shattered at the end of each day. *Edit* sat by the pool now watching my eldest dancing to YMCA as the hotel entertainers lead pool fitness! He's loving it!! Plenty of choice for food in the four restaurants (two are buffet style). Sleeved shirts for men if you want to book for the Mediterranean or Asian restaurants in the evening. And if you use the buffet restaurant in the evening, the menu does vary during the week. Stacks of fresh fruit and veg and some decent options available. Zero complaints from one particularly fussy eater. I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday here. The staff (who weren't informed) slipped a note and a phone call wishing a happy birthday which was surprising and lovely. The rooms are immaculate very comfy beds and the Aircon takes the edge off nicely if you need to cool the sunburn a little bit. The showers really properly powerful and the cleaners even matched the boys shoes which had scattered around the room and under beds and laid them out ready for when we returned after a day exploring the local area which is beautiful. After this experience we are already planning returning here next year. It's what we wanted without knowing it. Far enough from the airport to not have jets over head 24/7, close enough it's not a chore to get here. Plenty to do locally and more than enough to do in the hotel if you down want to explore and just relax. When it came to evening entertainment, the kids disco was fantastic. The youngest was in his element and the eldest was laughing constantly. The highlight was the magician. Hopefully he is there if and when you visit. He had every child and adult totally hooked, engrossed and joining in. Absolutely amazing. The live music was spot on and not at all karaoke like. Professional and skilled. We cannot thank the staff enough for making this an amazing experience and a wonderful holiday. So so happy. Would we come here without the kids? Yes. As a staging post to explore a bit, the hotel offers the rest and relaxation you would need. And with the kids? Definitely yes. The option of staying at the hotel to rest the boys or go out to zoomarine or the local beaches puts the hotel in the perfect place.

“A lovely all inclusive family hotel”

Really lovely hotel for families. Family room had large bed and sofa bed, Bath room had bath with shower in it. Restaurant had lots and lots of choice. The pool snack bar was amazing. Main buffet great- we also booked the oriental restaurant which had lovely sushi (didn’t have time for Mediterranean). Staff are really lovely and helpful. Rooms are ready from 4, so would suggest having a little bag ready for the pool when you arrive (they store cases). We also left late - cases were stored and there are showers in the spa, and outdoor pool bar. There are some adult only areas ( a pool and a bar), but mainly families. Because it was April, the outdoor pools are cold, but ok once you’re in. The indoor spa pool was great- adult only swim until 11am. The entertainment staff run lots of activities, so plenty for all ages. Our 10 year old son loved it, and made lots of friends playing football on their 3G pitch. The hotel and grounds are absolutely spotless and well cared for. The staff work constantly and there is a really happy feel- lots of families were on their second and third visits and we could see why. We thoroughly switched off and relaxed. We have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel and we loved every minute of it. We arrived at around 11am but couldn’t check in until 4 - not a problem as we expected this so planned accordingly. We were given our wristbands straight away so we could get some drinks. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful. We were given 4 towel cards to collect our pool towels when we were ready. The hotel is kept very clean and you could see staff regularly cleaning. There are reusable plastic drink cups for round the pool and the staff regularly come round collecting empties. The pools are lovely (very cold but ok once you got used to it!). The largest pool has a lot going on with entertainment staff, music and the pool bar (this wasn’t open during our stay but looked really good). There is also a small splash park that our toddler loved and a play park. There is also a small football area that my 8 year old rarely left! The food was superb - one of the best all inclusive restaurants we’ve ever stayed at and we’ve stayed at a lot! Good choice and always fresh and hot. During the day if you don’t want to go into the main restaurant then you can visit the smaller restaurant by the football area for pizza, toasties, sub rolls, salad and chicken nuggets and chips. I can’t comment on the speciality restaurants as we didn’t book them but we spoke to several people who had and they all said they were very good. Our room was nice and clean. We had a family room with pool view and we could also see the sea which was a nice bonus as we sat on our balcony of an evening when the kids were in bed. We went to the entertainment only a couple of times and we walked out of the hotel most evenings to the beach but from what we saw it looked ok. All of the staff were so friendly. Always smiling and happy to help. Location wise the hotel is in a great spot with a few mini supermarkets just down the road and some bars and restaurants. The walk to the beach from the hotel took us around 10 minutes. We would definitely return to this hotel in a heartbeat.
