Well what a lovely surprise Hotel Anabel was. I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. It’s a lovely little hotel right in the heart of Lloret De Mar. Five minute walk to the beach. Staff are friendly, rooms are nice, the bar/seating areas indoor and out area are really lovely as is the pool and there was plenty of sunbeds so there’s no fighting over them. The hotel is spotlessly clean, even the pool toilets. If I return to Lloret, and I’m likely to as by husbands friend lives there, I will always try to stay in this hotel. The temperatures were 35 degrees plus when we were out there so the air conditioned bar was very welcome. We only had bed and breakfast as we prefer to eat out locally but the breakfast was perfectly adequate. The only thing we missed was regular cups of tea, being British and there’s no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Nicest hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time to be honest.

Hotel is in pretty good location. 5 minute walk to beach, strip and main areas so near enough but not too close to lively night areas. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok but would be a bit repetitive/limited especially for longer stays. Pool area was nice, plenty of activities for kids as the events and inflatables were on. Always loungers available. Indoor Pool area and spa was nice but having to pay to use the gym is bit excessive. Bar/snack menu during the day is pretty limited so again if staying for 1 week or more you would need to go out or order bus UberEats for variety. Staff were good and overall pleasant stay. Hotel is good price point and easy location for visiting the resort.

We have recently returned from a week’s holiday to this hotel with our daughter and her family including a 4 year old. We had refurbished rooms which we paid extra for, ours was comfortable and there is storage although it is a bit spread out and there’s no option to hang long dresses in the closet space so I hung them on the coat pegs, we unpacked and managed fine.. our daughter had the same size room with a smaller bed and a extra single for the grandson and it was a little compact and limited space for 3 people to store things.. also our rooms were on the first floor above the terrace so could be a little noisy at times but nothing major. Air conditioning was adequate, plenty of hot water but a shower curtain that sticks to you is slightly annoying.. Cleaners came daily and were excellent. The location is very picturesque but it’s a bit of a maze, about a good 10 minute walk to a beach that has small stones so beach shoes are a must, unfortunately due to the nature of the beach it’s not the best for young children, the beach drops off into the water and then it becomes very deep very quickly so unfortunately we we’re unable to relax and enjoy. The hotel isn’t geared for the English there is not a great breakfast option, although there’s plenty of choice it’s not what we would choose to eat, as my husband pointed out no beans! And chorizo sausage! Although the evening meal was adequate not a huge amount of food but a option of all things and always nice enough. Unfortunately it looks like the fun started the day we left, there was very little to do for a young child, just as well he’s happy with a pool. There was a pool inflatable the day we arrived but we never saw it again sadly.. My daughter and her partner booked a massage and were very pleased with the service Overall it’s a typical very picturesque location but not ideal for families. Lots of small side streets, with plenty of bars shops and restaurants we found a lovely bar in the square with great friendly staff and lovely cocktails, we might have struggled without “maps” on our phones. We enjoyed our stay but won’t be back I’m baffled by the limited amount of reviews which leads me to think that maybe most of the people are regular visitors. Friendly enough just not geared towards English..
