“Awesome”
This place was great, not your normal boring vanilla hotel. Some guy below commented that the rooms overlooked scrub... Yeh that would be the national park fool! Staff very friendly, English fine and felt very welcome.

“Picturesque and cosy”
Great place to stay if you travel to San Jose, made in local traditional style, more ranch than a hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is ok too. We booked a horse riding mprning tour, that was really great!

We stayed at the Cortijo el Sotillo near Almeria late September while attending a wedding. The place itself is beautiful, the rooms are spread over several patios and terraced gardens. “Cool Hotel and Location.”
This hotel reminded me of hotels one would stay at in New Mexico. It's located just outside of San Jose and is low-key, very peaceful and relaxing.
