Good points: Hotel is nicely decorated, near a nice beach with toilets and feet washing taps. Always make sure your door locks before you leave any hotel room, ours didn't lock. Tui reps were available and tried to help with stolen camcorder. Advised us to get a taxi to the police station, however, you only have 24 hrs to get a ref no for your insurance. Police station was too far away, I didn't want the family to miss out on the theme park which we already had tickets for and knew I wouldn't have been able to cope and would have to pay insurance excess so I felt I could not go to the police. Rep got us tickets for the spa which was amazing and relaxing: 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms (one was dark with pleasant smells) and relaxation room, herbal teas and rainfall thing, jacuzzi, room with an ice wall and giant pool and an outside area which was unfortunately cold for May. Didn't see children there, I don't know if they are allowed (swim cap compulsory) (Aquum staff speak english). I don't know how much the spa cost but it's not included. You have to buy swim caps for another inside pool too. Food: plenty of variety if you like salad and dessert. It's not made by chefs (a chef would be embarrassed to give you eggs on a hot plate, burnt on one side and raw on top). Meat and chicken looked lovely but then it was raw inside sometimes. Plenty, lovely vegetables. Pizza and Pasta for anyone who likes that (I don't, so cannot comment on it). Snack bar was the best. All drinks from machines are horrible but you can order a sangria or vodka or rum etc for 2-3 euros at the bar if you show your all inclusive band (look at the colour codes on the drinks menu). Kids were in pool for hours but it was too cold for me and I caught the cold on day 2. We got hotel 2: our other party had a room on 4th floor which was too hot (Air con didn't work). We had the duplex room which was nice on ground floor but it was freezing (tried the heating but didn't work, my TV didn't work and that's where you get all your information so I felt a bit lost and upset due to this). I was on a roll out bed and found 2 blankets in the wardrobe, my sister had a bed upstairs. We had a wardrobe each. Bathroom was big, shower wonderful but there was a glass door at the WC which I didn't like. Asked for a quiet room but didn't get one (I think the quiet rooms have the cater piller Estivie motto on the door and face the golf course but are for families with children). Our room was next to Hotel 3's stage and not pleasant when we had stayed up all Friday night and left the house at 2am for the early flight and trying to sleep through loud music from 10pm until midnight. Same going home - music night before leaving (missed the breakfast as it was at 8.30 and our bus was at 8). Could you have the entertainment music around 8pm instead of 10pm? Could have used Hotel 1 but didn't, it was exactly the same. You cannot use hotel 3 from 14 May onwards. Also had building work outside but we were not on our balcony anyway because it was in the shade. Waiters work hard and deserve a tip. I showed my key to the receptionist and she could see what my problem was and told the English speaking receptionist to speak to me when she was ready. I also used free translation to ask in Catalan "is there a fire?" because alarm kept going off. I speak a wee bit Spanish but that was no good, they speak Catalan. I wanted Tunes from a supermarket on the street but it wasn't open yet and she told me to go to the Farmacia where I got horrible lemsip type thing and Strepsils but they cost me 26 euros. She didn't speak English. 25 euros for a taxi to Port Adventura from Estival Park and 25 back. Near Tarragona but don't go Sunday hardly any buses. Didn't try out the beach restaurants. That's what I usually do and I prefer that, all inclusive is not for me.

Disappointed. Arrival was painless. Room was good. 1 of the 3 Hotels in the complex was closed, meaning only 2 restaurants available for the rest of the very large site. Asked about eating elsewhere on site and told, didn't need to as this was the biggest and best. Asked again and told it would be impractical and to not bother. Asked where indoor pool was and was told at Spa & Gym, great, only you have to pay lots to use Spa pool but less to use Gym pool, rip off. no snack bar at other pools and roof top pool was closed. two types of staff, 50/50, either rude and grumpy or smiling and pleasant. Queues for restaurant at times outrageously long. Pool was the coldest I have ever not used! Won't book again.

We stayed in hotel estival park II and were able to check in and get our room key straight away at about 2pm which was great as we were expecting our room to not be ready yet. The beds were made daily and the towels were changed also, which was great & the duplex was great for our party of people. The self service of drinks was great, we enjoyed soft drinks and ice creams, the snack bar in hotel II was much slower pace than the soon to be Tui Suneo,and the woman was not very friendly who was serving the snack bar (hotel II). There was also nuts, crisps & little cakes in the drinks self serve area for if you wanted a little snack instead. In the snack bar was hot dogs, burgers, chicken nuggets, chips & tubs of pineapple and kiwi. This is mostly where you would fill up the children! The food in the restaurant had a lot of variety and would change slightly each day but for picky eaters or even children I would say they may not get on so well, my child mainly ate the same things every day. But there was a lot of seafood, different meat options & pizza etc every day. The hotel did get more busy as the week went on but I didn’t ever find myself hunting for a sunbed, there was plenty of beds around the pool! We liked both of the pools in both the hotels and the children loved it! Although the pool staff / life guards would speak amongst each other and then stare at the guests making you feel as though there is some kind of issue even though nothing was actually happening. The local area had a range of gift shops and little supermarkets and a little Irish bar / restaurant if you like a meal away from the hotel. I would say that the majority of other guests staying in the hotel were Spanish people so not many English people staying, not that this would usually matter but they were pretty rude and even when walking outside the hotel on the beach front people would look you up and down (bizzare, you may think maybe we were in swimwear? But no this was when fully clothed) 🤣🤣 . Getting a smile from anybody would be like getting blood out of a stone🫠
