Vacation | Solo Lovely little solo holiday to kick the season off. Hotel was lovely and spacious. Sunbeds plentiful and you didn't have to worry about not getting one, 5 different pools and a couple of bars areas. Did book the tapas but would say I didn't enjoy it much, but I am fussy, they didn't give you a menu and didn't speak English so was hard to find out what I was eating. Restaurant was fantastic and the staff were friendly and had lots of food to offer. I would recommend taking your own cup as theirs were small and you only got a couple of mouthful, but could fill up as much as you like. I would also recommend taking your own water bottle so you can fill up. Pool towel is another thing I would take with me so you didn't have to pay to use their ones. Rooms: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 4/5 Rooms Booked a sea view. First room was questionable, you can see the sea miles away or looking left But once it got to night time, I knew I couldn't stay, the light house was lighting up my room every 30 seconds, was horrible, felt like I was in a horror movie. Told reception the next morning and they moved me straight away. Second room lovely sea view and pool view was so much better. Clean and spacious. Safety I am a single lady and traveled solo and felt safe, you have a gate which you have to swipe your key card to get in and out, the front is reception. Walkability Shops and restaurants about 10mins away and beach about 15-20 minute walk looks closer when booking than it was. Food & drinks Plenty for everyone. I'm picky but found bits to eat, loads for options for vegan, and loads of meat and fish options. Hotel highlights Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value

We have just returned home from a week stay. We had a great time, food was good and lots of variety. Pools were lovely, some pools were cold but once you are in it’s fine. We were very lucky with the weather in April being 30s most days! The infinity pool is the warmest but most busiest. We didn’t have to get up early for a sunbed just went down when we were ready and always found one at any pool. I am giving this a 5 star based on what we got based on what we paid! If you read other reviews I agree it needs some maintenance but was reflected in what we paid! It’s a 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants and 5 minutes to the beach too. The reception staff were super helpful throughout our stay too.

Just got back from weeks AI at this hotel. I was a little concerned with negative reviews so not expecting much. Well I was pleasantly surprised when we got there. We paid extra £73 for sea view room which was bright, spacious and very clean. Hotel is quite a big complex. About 80% German occupancy but absolutely no problem getting sun beds without having to get up at 7am lol. Maid service everyday. Staff very friendly. No problem with any service at any of the bars. Food was generally fine. The hotel does cater more for Germanic food options inc veal and goat meat etc but on the whole lots of food options. The reviews stating food is cold is a little harsh. SOME dishes were warm rather than hot presumably to stop drying it all out. What doesn’t help is putting the warm food on your plate and then walking about waiting for other folk to serve themselves whilst your plated food loses some temp. On the whole never really had any food that you thought omg this is stone cold. Restaurant area a little compact. I would imagine this would be a problem when very busy as would queuing for bar service. Anyway for £1200 for both of us thought overall good value. Pros and cons as below: Pros: Weather was fantastic sunshine everyday 30 degrees in the afternoons. Beach beautiful. Lovely warm clear water. Hotel located 10 min walk from morro jable centre with nice shops / restaurants etc. self service beer / wine / cold drinks/ coffee at most bars and in restaurant so no queuing. Staff are friendly if you are polite to them in the first place. Loads of sun beds just check parasol works first if you want shade. Cons: 1 and a half hour transfer from airport which after 4 hr flight was draining with TUI coach stopping at 5 hotels before this one. 28 Euro charge for safe ( non refundable). Two free themed restaurants which you have to book upon arrival. Asian one okay but the Tapas restaurant was a dire experience. Incredible really as same day in the afternoon the hotel put on an outstanding paella round main pool. Restaurant is small for amount of residents if everyone turns up at same time. Finding a table can be challenging Overall good value. If you are paying this sort of money for flight / board / transfers / food / booze then don’t expect a gastronomic experience but we enjoyed our holiday. Would return.

We have just returned after a 10 day trip to the Maxorata. Check in was fast and efficient but I had to part with 75 euro straight away for a kettle ( not standard ) A safe and two pool towels for which 30 euro was refundable. Our room was in the main building and it was clean with a sea view and comfy beds. All the staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. There were lots of pool areas and lots of sun beds and shade areas for all to enjoy although some parasols didn’t work and some of the beds had seen better days. All the above said, the only real big letdown was the food and drink. The restaurant had the feel of a canteen that you wanted to get in and out of as fast as possible. I don’t expect gourmet food in an all inclusive but I do expect the food to be hot. I don’t know how they managed it but literally everything I tried possibly with the exception of the freshly cooked meat was seriously cold and the selection of food was quite monotonous. We booked for the Asia restaurant one night hoping for a proper meal only to find another buffet style spread that was cold but where you had to pay for your drinks. I would suggest giving this one a miss. Finally, I have a big gripe about the drinks. All the main spirits like, Vodka, Gin, Rum and Whisky were 25% vol as opposed to the normal 38/40% vol. The spirits were served in thin long glasses with made to measure ice cubes leaving very little room for alcohol and mixers and a beer was served in wine glasses. In conclusion, If you like a good meal or drink on holiday this is not the place for you. Not quite a 4star hotel. I would stand it as a pleasant 3star.
