I found the overall experience of Don Diego excellent, I went self catering and the facilities were more than adequate for this. The view isn't great, in the sense that all you can see are the hotels across the road but its also not so horrible, I was on the 2nd floor of five and although before going I had been hoping for a higher level, once I went on my balcony I was actually quite glad I didn't as I am scared of heights! All the staff were very nice and the maid for my room did an excellent job. My only gripe is that, staying in room 209 which is right at the end of the building and next to a footpath it was very noisy at times during the night. Overall though this is a place I would recommend.

“Excellent No frills apartments, value for money”

“Good location”

Would definitely return to these apartments, they are ideally placed and are a short walk from the beach and Yumbo Centre. My only gripe was the bedroom, it was very tight and quite dark, got a few bruises from banging into the dressing table but it wouldn't stop me staying there again. There was a bottle of red wine and water in the apartment when we arrived and as we stayed over Christmas, another bottle of wine and some cakes were left for us to enjoy. The apartments on the ground floor have their own terrace and loungers so I would be looking to stay in one of these next time. The main pool area was nice and due to social distancing there weren't many people around so could always get a lounger, the sun disappeared around 4ish but that is down to the time of year. Can imagine it is very crowded in the summer months but there is a separate adult pool at the front of the apartment block which could also be used. Unfortunately due to the travel ban, Jet2 decided to fly us home 2 days early but the lovely receptionist contacted us to provide a refund for the safe as soon as she found out.

You are in the middle of Playa del Ingles, close to the beach and Yumbo centre. You have access to two pools which are both very clean and nice. One of them is adult only and quiet. There were a few things that could improve. Like that there were insects walking in the bathroom (ants and what looked like little cockroaches). Which I think is because the bathroom is poorly finished. You also get new towels every 3 days. We didn’t know that and just put them on te ground. The cleaners just folded them again and put them back. This is kinda dirty. The cleaners also come into the room even if you put the doorhanger on that it doesn’t need cleaning (We didn’t want it anymore since they throw alot away, like plastic bags and bottles which we wanted to reuse because of the environment). The bedroom was very dark and small and the beds kept rolling apart from each other. The beds itself did lay comfortably tho and the air conditioning is also nice. The wifi did not work well, only on the balcony we could watch a movie. It was too slow inside. Overall are the rooms fine but I would spend a little bit more next time and go elsewhere.
