As a first Time trying this hotel and location we didn't know what to expect but the hotel was situated in a brilliant location which is 1 min walk to the beach felt like a private beach walking distance to local amenities and other tourist attractions all in walking distance if you like to walk and see the difference in the place around you but are also busses which are easy to use and efficient Hotel overall with a balcony looking on to the beach was good. bed sheets where a bit thin for this time of year but you can adjust the temperature in the room. meals for the hotel I have mixed review on breakfast was a bit hit and miss also lunch but even meal was good everything had a variety but also a bit hit a miss but if you like paella then your in for a treat.

We went with low expectations from the previous reviews, check in was good we arrived early hours in the morning and we were offered some food and drinks. keycards really need replacing the first 1 wouldn't work in the door or the receptionists machine, 2nd 1 was snapped almost in half but worked. Bar staff seemed very tired but still tried their hardest on the busy days and nights nice lager but tiny plastic cups, if we returned id probably see if i was allowed to bring my own glass. Food was nice enough, full English on a morning or cereals and fruits. The toaster isn't functional you wait in a line of sometimes 10 or more and it takes ages to toast, you have to keep flipping it over and most the time i just gave up. Evening meals were okay plenty to choose from and the chef that stands with the specials is so thankful to see you go for seconds. Rooms are what you'd expect basic but functional and clean. room cleaned everyday if you want it, towels and fresh beds made floors swept and mopped. Lifts are very old rusty and very noisy. Double room is 2 single beds pushed together with 2 sets of single bedding so if your a couple 1 of you ends up in a ditch half way through the night. Overall for the price location staff and cleanliness it's worth it but I've certainly stayed in nicer better maintained 3* hotels

Wel I wouldn't say it was a 3*, compared to alot of other 3* / 4* iv stayed at on the island I would give mix columbo a 2*.. Staff were great at check in, quick and simple and straight to our room which was very clean / tidy beds quite comfortable but very thin walls if your light sleeper take ear plugs. Room did get cleaned with fresh towels everyday but not once did they change our bed sheets in the 5 day stay! For 4 days there were empty bar glass's / dishes on the staircase outside our room which the cleaner walked past everyday and didn't bother moving ((not ours may I add)) We went all inclusive and wasn't to impressed by the food, not much options at all in my opinion and the quality wasn't great either, now I know we stayed in the last week of the season but no excuse for some of the food in packets to be past its used by date which realy put me off eating again...some nice takeaways around the area which I then opted for. Bar was good, plenty of drink options and the young man behind the bar seem to be the only staff member to smile and be helpfull. Location is great if you like a quite peaceful break with some great sea views that I can't fault! All in all its not the worst experience, but I would choose, to not return.
