“Cheaper rooms not worth it ”

We accidentally booked one of the non air-conditioned and non sound-proofed rooms. While the room was of a good size and clean, it was a bit stuffy and extremely noisy. Guests at Hotel Metrópole say: We accidentally booked one of the non air-conditioned and non sound-proofed rooms. While the room was of a good size and clean, it was a bit stuffy and extremely noisy. It is on a main street with trucks and buses going past, opposite a bus stop where lots of noisy people wait for the bus well into the night. It is close to the central park and the central mercado. We stayed Sunday when almost everything is closed, so the neighbourhood was deserted and looked grungy. (Sassavi had a nicer vibe with people on the streets even on Sunday, and is closer to the restaurants, so we are staying there next time.) The better rooms are said to have air-con, sound-proofing and include breakfast, but I can't comment. Overall wouldn't recommend the cheap rooms unless price is your only consideration.

All-Inclusive Regulations in the Balearic Islands…

On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.
