A Wonderful hotel. This was my Partner and I’s first big trip and we were glad we chose this hotel. Excellent service, we got in on a late flight our first night, the night manager was polite and kind especially to a very tired English couple in the middle of the night. The location is perfect for being anywhere quick in Athens be that walking distance from major monuments or a short tram ride to the beach. The room was clean and air conditioned. A nice balcony as well, perfect for a quit intimate evening after a busy day. Breakfast was excellent, an excellent fresh spread of traditional Greek and home familiarity. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast waiters even helped my partner and I improve our Greek which was a lovely touch. The bar was also excellent. Stunning views of the acropolis and well stocked drinks, (not every day you see a rare scotch on the shelf and try the ouzo) All in all I would highly recommend.

Stayed for 5 night on a couples break, hotel has a very grand decor if slightly faded in places The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the sights/shops and restaurants also the hop on off buses which are reasonably priced, book any taxi via the app or your hotel as picking up on the street is more expensive. Reception staff and hotel concierge are very welcoming and informative, lift system a bit odd we had to go up to our floor and then down to the ground floor to go up in another lift to access the bar :restaurant. The rooms are cleaned daily and are spotless, but again some fitting showing signs of wear and tear, our rooms curtains had several small holes in them so as the sun came up you got specks of light around the room. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room which is a standard in 4/5 star hotels, there is a small fridge with soft:alcoholic drinks and snacks but slightly over priced. Hotel pool was closed during the 1st part of our stay no information with regard to this when booking or on arrival, just found a notice by the pool, you could sit in the pool area but not use the pool, disappointing as it was early may and temperature in the 20.apparently the pool will open next week. We where told we could not sit by the pool one day as they were setting up for a function and it had been raining slightly 3 hours previously, following a complaint to management we were allowed to sit there and were jointed by several other group who all purchased food and drink, so very shortsighted business wise as the function did not start till after 1800hrs which is after the pool would have been closed. The bar staff in the ground floor/pool bar are very helpful and friendly offering fantastic service. The manger of the restaurant/bar area gets very stressed and his manor of speaking is quite aggressive, especially if large numbers of people attend for breakfast at the same time. The breakfast is a standard hotel breakfast with a selection of hot and cold food buffet style, tea and coffee are brought to the table. Be aware that the roof too restaurant can often be closed to hotel guests for private event So depending what you are looking for in your hotel for you time in Athens, this could be the hotel for you, be aware that this hotel is probably not a 5 standard more at a 3-4 star standard
