Enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room well sized. We got a quad family room which included a superking sized sofa bed for the kids (8 and 5) and two singles put together for the adults. The decorations were very lux- deep palatial red in everything, which the kids loved. Breakfast was modest but exactly what you’d expect for the price point. Location was ideal: not in the middle of no where, but sufficiently calm and quiet with some good Trattoria within 3 minute walk.

“TOTALLY RECOMMEND DESPITE A BOOKING GLITCH”

Recommended hotel. Lovely olde-worlde rooms, we stayed in two different rooms as there was a mix up with our booking/credit card. Hotel said our card didn't work so cancelled our room - they did email but we were on holidays not checking emails and missed the query which was only a day or so before our arrival at the hotel. But it was sorted out by Felipe, our room was gone but he did move us one room to another which was no problem. But still a concern that the credit card confirmation which I had received confirming our booking way back when I booked it... was subsequently not sufficient. I booked on their own website as well! At the hotel I used that very same credit card to pay and IT WORKED! So I think you need to nail down your booking with the hotel directly by separate email/phone to be certain. We were lucky even though our booking was cancelled totally they did find rooms for us in the end, but a concern you don't need.. rocking up to the Reception.. no room that would be awful. Loved the breakfast, perfectly adequate, great rooms, bathrooms etc. All in all loved this little hotel and recommend. Location for direct airport boat.. only a 3 minute walk. Great for other water boats as well. We loved this hotel, totally recommend. Great restaurants in the vicinity but during the day book your reservation if you want to sit outside, we visited in May and it was hard to get an outside table already. So spot a restaurant on your walk, book it and be stress free! We liked Muro San Stae (table outside a must!) and Al Nono Risorto (looks odd outside but the secret garden at the back is unbelieveable so make sure ask for table here) near the hotel.

“Boutique Hotel in Venice”

Great little hotel inside Venice. Water taxi's nearby. Restaurants & shopping with in walking distance. Staff was VERY helpful with tips & travel arrangements to Morrano Island. Nice room & bath. Continental breakfast is included, but they will make a full breakfast for a small fee.

The Hotel Al Duca di Venezia is a lovely hotel in a quiet area of Venice. It is near a small canal with a charming bridge. We stayed for five nights in the 'beige' room which has rich wallpaper and curtains. The lighting in the hotel is in the Venetian style. Beds are comfortable and there are several pillow choices from soft to firm. This is the quietest hotel I've ever stayed at. The breakfast buffet offers everything from delicious baked goods to cheese, cold cuts, cereal, fresh fruit and fresh fruit juice. Breakfast is set up in two separate rooms (same food choices) and you can eat in either room as well as the lobby area. We shopped at a grocery store nearby called the Coop and made use of the refrigerator in our room. Every staff member at this hotel is amazing, but we want to say a special "thank you" to Philip. When our flight back to the USA was cancelled due to weather we panicked a bit, but Philip went out of his way to assure us that we could stay one more night and he found a way to keep us in the same room. We highly recommend the Hotel Al Duca di Venezia!
