Bought a Wowcher for £99 each and ended up here. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the B and B was and that all the staff were so hospitable and friendly. Located in a small town, with plenty of nice restaurants. We particularly liked the Il Carnero restaurant at the bottom of the hill (50m from hotel). Would stay there again, would book direct!

The hotel itself was lovely, but the staff were amazing - especially in the dining room, they couldn't have been more helpful! The hotel has pretty much everything you would need for somewhere you don't plan on spending any time in, and why would you with all the amazing Italian country side around?? The bedroom was huge and functional, so seemed a bit sparse, but again, you didn't need anything extra. The only problem is it's in the middle of nowhere, with only big outlet malls nearby. The front desk were really helpful though! When we arrived in the area we had no idea of public transport as there's not much help online, but the front desk had loads of information! The breakfast was pretty standard fare, but there was plenty of it and, as I said, the staff there were just amazing with their help (my partner has dietry requirements and they accomodated them so well, and actually went out of their way to do so).

We spent a few days at the B&B Hotel Affi Lago Di Garda this week and I have mixed feelings about the place. The staff were excellent. They worked very hard to understand and be understood and were extremely helpful. The Room The room was a good size with high ceilings and a large window. The bed and pillows were excellent. The bathroom included a bath, very good shower and bidet. Everything was clean and in great condition. There was a safe and a small fridge in the wardrobe, a desk, chair and stool. On the downside, there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room, and we had to ask at reception for two (plastic) glasses so we had something do drink from. The aircon system in the room unfortunately wouldn't turn down and would only pump out heat. The temperature got as high as 30C so we had to sleep with the windows opened to be comfortable. The room also only came with a single toilet roll, which caused a rushed and embarrasing trip in the lift to get another from reception. Facilities This is a basic hotel offering the minimum of facilities, but at the price it's what you would expect. There is a seating area in reception and tables outside, which we saw a few other guests using. In reception there are fridges selling water, soda and alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices and some shelves of basics like biscuits and deoderant, which you pay for at reception. The staff are happy to order taxis and add breakfast to your booking if you haven't included it already. Breakfast Terrible. The breakfast room is large and the staff member working in there was very efficient, but the food is absolutely awful. The only hot food on offer at breakfast is chopped-up hotdog sausages and scrambled egg. As for the rest, there is off-brand breakfast cereal, bread, cheap local ham, cheese and some fruit. This is not a good selection at all and leaves you feeling inadequately set up for the day, especially from a hotel that has the word 'breakfast' right there in its name. In the dining room there is also a machine offering fruit juice and a very good coffee machine. Lastly: The hotel is NOT on Lake Garda. You cannot see the lake from the hotel. It is a 20 minute, €45 taxi ride from the lake. If you want to get to somewhere beautiful like Sirmione, then the cab will cost you a minimum of €80, each way. Taxis generally are EXTREMELY expensive, and for a hotel as far away from the airport as this one is, they can affect the whole holiday negatively.
