We absolutely loved our stay at The Ambre, such amazing value for money. We found the hotel to be absolutely fantastic, on the most beautiful beach. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay, nothing was too much trouble for them. The guys in the bars work so hard and always with a smile on their faces. We really enjoyed the evening entertainment too !! I read some reviews that said the buffet was repetitive, we didn't think that at all ! The La Dolce Vita/La Plage restaurants were really good too, definitely worth a visit. The hotel is so clean and so welcoming we would return again without hesitation.

My family and I spent 2 great weeks at Ambre in April and had an amazing time. The staff were first class, extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We had superior rooms with a garden view which had been refurbished and the cleaners were in every day and did a good job. We spent a lot of time at the beach which was excellent with amazing views and the water was amazing, the pool was good too although getting a bed in the shade could be a struggle on some say, I would recommend sea shoes when going in sea to avoid cuts from sharp rocks or stings from anemones, jelly fish etc. The food was good in the buffet restaurant and the Italian a la carte was excellent. We had to vacate rooms by 12 but weren't getting picked up until 7pm and unfortunately both our rooms were booked and so could not be extended. Whilst we were at reception trying to look at alternatives the Manager overheard and immediately stepped in and arranged an alternative room so we could relax and enjoy our last day, excellent service. Would recommend the 5 island tour and also the Cassela Nature Park was excellent. Overall we had an amazing holiday and if we revisit Mauritius in the future would have no hesitation returning to the Ambre.

Me and my husband had an overall great experience during our 10 days vacation at this resort in April 2024. Despite 2 days that were rainy and windy, which obviously it was bad luck, the people from the resort were very welcoming, friendly and serviable. We enjoyed the diverse and tasty food that was served, especially at Indigo, with some minus areas in the staff from Dolce Vita, which we have addressed separately to their management as well, but nothing too serious. The rooms are comfortable, equiped with essentials (private bathroom, TV, good bed, clean sheets, etc.) Pool is great, however it closes at 6PM which is not ideal, especially since the water is still warm and pool area so nicely lightened, they could have extended the pool access until at least 8PM. In this review, I also need to take a few moments and write an exceptional review for Doctor Hujjaree and his assistant Asvhin. They were both very supportive, very professional and communicative towards a stomach medical problem that I had during my last days. In short, we went outside the resort to explore and caught a food poison bacteria from somewhere, but with the help and excellent care and communication from Dr. Hujjaree, we passed it and managed to get the 10 hour flight back home. Doctor is a wonderful human being as well, especially since under no further obligation or medical report, he continued checking on me via whatsapp to see how I feel even 1 week after we got home. I have no words to thank him!!
