Luckily they had several appartments, so we went to the next one. After half an hour we arrived there and this appartment was not clean after last customers went out... one suitable appartment was available so we again drove there... after another 45 minutes in rushhour and with screaming 2 year old child we arrived at the appartment and it was clean and free. It was rather cold so we turned on the only small radiator in the appartment and brought our bags... since the temperature in the appartment was not changing we started to worry about staying the night there... we tried to rise the temperature with everything that was radiating heat including oven, hairdryer, iron and even hot water in bathroom, but nothing helped. It was saturday night, cold and nobody in the office of that company was working ower weekend... we had a phone number of the girl, but she was not responding... that is when we decided to stay only one night there and search for a hotel with working heater, available room with 3 beds and with good price... this is how we found Catalunia Park Putxet. It is on the hill rather hidden, but it was perfect for us... we got rather small room, but it had 3 bed (wife, child and me) and our baby trawler fit in the room with us... and it was warm... we sleapt very good and everything was perfect... at first we did not take the breakfast since we wanted to see Barcelona and wanted to eat on our way... that was not a good idea... in January only few restaurants are open and we did not find good bakeries or cafes... in the evening we decided to take the breakfast and it was no problem... Next day breakfast was great.. it was delicious, it was a lot and we had a lot to choose from... all in all, very good breakfast... we went to see Barcelona again... Park Putxet is really near... Park Güell is not far, but on another hill so we had to go down and then very steep high up... because elevator steps were not working, we had to push our baby in the trawler up the hill... it would have been even more exhausting, if some guys from Montenegro (also tourists) didn't offer their help... Park Güell is beatifull and the view over Barcelona is also breathtaking... our Hotel had a great view from the top and Park Putxet had also great view over Barcelona, but Park Güell is best.. second night we had some Pizza in one of the restaurants not far from Hotel and that was big mistake... all of us got diarrhea and had it for two days... the next day we could not go anywhere and stayed in the hotel the whole day... somehow we manage to jam the toilet but everything was solved fast and really everyone in the hotel was very pleasant, very helpfull and trying their best to help us... I will remember them best... never ever did I see more engaged and feel better support in any hotel then here... they gave us soups that we could eat, recomended water that really helped, played with our doughter, looked for a hospital because we wanted to go to hospital after diarrhea was taking so long... luckily day after that it stoped and we could continue our trip in Barcelona... we saw La Rambla and there we were happy to eat in KFC during the day... we wanted to eat like locals but were to afraid... in the morning and in the evening we were eating at the hotel and everything was fine... After we saw also Sagrada Familia, Aquarium and some other places in Barcelona we decided to go back home... Catalunia Park Putxet and all staff have special place in our hearts and I will visit them whenever I will come to Barcelona... BIG THANK YOU and hope to see you again...

“Hotel and staff with special place in our hearts”

“Small room and bathroom, clean, quiet and comfortable but somewhat remote from the sights.”

Our shower was difficult and we didn't like having two single beds instead of one larger bed. Location required use of cabs to get anywhere. It was quiet and the staff was helpful. We didn't have any meals there.
