The hotel itself and rooms/furnishings are dated and tired Barcelona is expensive of course but for 200 euro for one night I would have expected something more. Breakfast was ok but quite limited.

“Great location, underwhelming room”

This hotel has a terrific location, two blocks from Catalunya Plaza and Las Ramblas. But other than a great location, it is rather underwhelming. The staff members are great and helpful, and our room was clean, most important. But my recommendations sort-of end there. Our room was small, with two poorly located electrical outlets, and old furniture that was really too big for the room. Breakfast offerings were plentiful, but also seemed old. The yogurt looked curdled, greens for breakfast sandwiches looked like they were a week old. Eggs were generally cold, toaster took a good five minutes to toast bread. There seemed to be only one person maintaining the breakfast room where there should have been two people. I felt sorry for the woman doing the work because it looked to me like there was just too much work for one person to manage properly.

“One night in Barcelona”

The room was spacious and bathroom well equipped. Matress was too hard for me. Even if on the 5th floor, the noice from the street was loud all night long (window not sound proof). Location very good. Payed for the breakfast, but they could not arrange anything as our departure was at 7 a.m.

I’d characterize this as a mixed bag. Location is very close to Plaça Catalunya where Aerobus drops off. Breakfast is good. Bathrooms good. Beds a little hard. I’d characterize this as a mixed bag. Location is very close to Plaça Catalunya where Aerobus drops off. Breakfast is good. Bathrooms good. Beds a little hard. We stayed four nights in two different rooms. There was an unpleasant odor in the first room and we felt certain it had to do with the toilet not being well sealed. Toilet was wobbly. First morning we complained but nothing was done. Second morning a different person at the desk moved us immediately. Second room was just fine. Some rooms don’t have windows (they have interior windows to courtyards that are enclosed). I recommend asking for a room with an actual window. Unsheltered people sleeping out front next door, but that can happen anywhere.
