“Excellent stop over”
Within easy distance from the port of Santander. Easy to find in Gijón and situated in a pleasant location by a beautiful park.

“Lovely place to stay, with the easy access to the city”
Small, clean & characterful Parador with very friendly and helpful staff on the edge of a nice park, and a short 10min walk to the bay. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast (the churros were first class) in the dining room overlooking the park. Finding it was a little tricky.

“Excellent stay and a peaceful and stylish Parador”
Relaxing stay at a peaceful parador. We stayed for 3x nights with breakfast and were impressed at the cleanliness of the rooms, friendliness of staff and the individualised nature of the hotel. It was around 20-25 mins walk (through a park and then along the promenade) to the city proper.

“Overall a nice Parador.”
We enjoyed our stay, the Parador is in a nice position, near to the beach but it was disappointing that the lake is empty and our views were of fencing. Great views from our comfortable bedroom looking over the lake, which has an interesting mix of birdlife. There are also aviaries in the park.
