This hotel, out of the around 20 ICs I’ve stayed at in the last year, would be in my top three which is saying a lot. This is a reflection not only in the facilities it provides but, most importantly, the staff that are so dedicated to catering to guests that I’ll break it down accordingly to facilities and staff: FACILITIES ARE TOP NOTCH: The hotel underwent a renovation and everything is brand now. The highlights in my opinion include: -Gym and spa – I love how complete and large it is. It was pretty unique in the other ICs I’ve been at whereby whist I was there you were actually installing a boxing ring. I’ve never seen that in any other ICs I’ve been to. -Club room – the club room is large and has great views of Bangkok -Wide range of restaurant options – SoCal was my favourite as well as the Lobby café although I also tried the Summer Palace restaurant once as well which was really good. -Connectivity to the Holiday Inn especially Beer Republic – so guests can eat at the holiday inn restaurants and charge those to the room and I assume vice-versa Also the chandelier in the lobby is really really big, nice and obviously really expensive! STAFF AT THE IC BANGKOK ARE THE CRÈME OF THE CRÈME: What made the hotel wow for me really was the staff. While all are equal and I didn’t get a chance to acknowledge nor remember everyone’s names I’ll do the best I can Security/door greeters and concierge: In terms of the door greeters that guard the main entrances (greeters) as well as the one next to SoCal while I didn’t get to jot down their names all of them were really friendly and made me feel at home when I was leaving/returning. Also, the ones monitoring the lifts were very nice; in particular the lady that works in the morning/afternoon was always very chatty. In terms of the concierge, it was the same. They were always courteous and one even listened to a suggestion I made about a golf recommendation. Separate, a special shoutout to Songfu. He was the only one throughout my stay that actually would greet me “Mr. Santos” which added that personalized touch. SoCal: This was by far my favorite restaurant in the hotel. A special shoutout to Nipapuri and her team which included Juphel as well as Pim, Gun, Kanoon, Boos, Nut, Fern, Fon, Don and Dear. I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant. Summer Palace: While (probably because I was going to SoCal and Beer Republic a lot) I went here once, I did enjoy it nonetheless. I went for the unlimited dim sum and it was really good. To the staff there who waited on me I wanted to say thank you. Beer Republic: Whilst this was not technically in the IC Bangkok still was in the Holiday Inn and same owner. This was by far the most frequented place I’ve been to. Whilst I didn’t get the staff names I really loved how you all greeted me like I was a regular living in Bangkok when in fact I was merely gust a guest for only 2 weeks. There was also live music playing every night Balcony Lounge: Staff there were great so thank you again. Like in almost all intercons they had live music as well most days of the week. The gym and spa: Despite going to SoCal and Beer Republic a lot I did workout everyday and I had the opportunity to recognize and say hi to all the staff at the gym and spa. From the receptionists to the trainers thank you for your hospitality. The Club Room: Last but not least this was the area of the hotel where I spent the most time besides my room. To Faii and team: Jui, Janya, Mos, Gham, Phee, Kile, Geng, Ink, Bank, Amy. Thank you for your hospitality and for making me feel at home at your hotel. Anyways, a well done to you all for making me at least feel wow about your hotel. Not just the facilities but the staff are wonderful Definitely a 10/10
