Stay - 10 nights (28th September - 8th October) My husband and I stayed at Holiday Inn City Topkapi, for ten nights for leisure and it was 100% perfect from start to finish. The staff were very helpful and kind, there were no issues at all!! We initially booked a standard queen room but we arrived very late due to delayed flight from London Gatwick, so we arrived at around 4am, thankfully they still held the room for us, the gentleman said he would not take any deposit just our passports for identification - which was all a very smooth and easy check in! We arrived in the room I have to say it was ALL perfect ac was working fine, bathroom was fine, everything was very clean, the outside view was at the tram and city but there wasnt much noise, there was slippers for us, iron/ ironing board, tv, desk huge bed, armchair and table, minibar fridge and tea area. After one night we decided to upgrade as we were going to be here for 10nights and would like more space, we requested this and the price at reception and they kindly gave us a bigger room free of charge! We were very shocked and pleased couldnt quite believe it, we asked again a few times if we would be charged afterwards but the receptionist said its okay!! I should have got the kind gentlemans name but he wore glasses had grey hair I hope he can be tracked! - he even asked after few days if the room was still all okay for us! After that we decided to try the breakfast at the hotel for us both it was 900tl and the buffet was a very good spread I have to say all fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, fresh muffins, we asked the chef for omelettes she kindly made, the bread and croissants were slightly hard though. Everything is close at hand I noticed other travellers getting up again to get more! The only thing was that it was expensive at 900tl a day (450tl each) for us to have daily - so for the next few days we found a nice cafe and had breakfast there, its a short walk from the hotel if you keep walking right, past the stall with the man selling drinks/water (he sells for 6l a bottle we used to buy water from him or from the nearby carrefour) then go past the pastry cafe if you keep walking to sariyer borescki cafe the service is excellent, food very good too and a lot cheaper, but there tends to be a lot of smokers. We had no issues or problems with the staff during our stay they literally left us in peace we would come and go with ease and arrive with comfort. The housekeeping ladies came daily always Very Polite and Happy, God bless them always made and cleaned the room and bathroom for us! We didnt try the room service or spa as we were always outside sight seeing or dining out anyway , we sometimes brought back snacks & water from carrefour this all seemed okay no problems or issues with that. The location is Excellent to hop on the tram, you can purchase an Istanbulkart (just like a oyster card in london) and top it up at the machines just select english language. The trams are very frequent they head all the way downtown to the tourist spots which is great! even to Galata tower and even further. We did find the trams a tad busy and crammed at times (although quick and cheap) we sometimes hailed a taxi to our destinations - only if the fare was reasonable!. Not sure how it was on the buses but they were very frequent and bus stops are close to the hotel too. There are also white transport minivans too darted around Istanbul city they can drop you to nearby spots with other passengers we found one from Taksim he dropped us to Yusufpaca for 30l we got the tram back to the hotel. The check out again was very smooth no issues or charges were made that I know of yet! (we didnt use the minibar) or spa or room service. We had a excellent stay here would definitely be recommending to others. Thankyou all at Holiday Inn God bless your hard work and service.

“Nice hotel”

Decent hotel, clean, tidy and rooms are spacious. Toiletries, slippers, if on a budget, close transport links and has a nice outdoor area with a pool. Overall a nice hotel with friendly staff. Will recommend.

“Good to stay but nothing else”

Good hotel in a good place. We went there and book a room for teleconference. The rooms were ok. It deservs another visit. The breakfast was expensive and poor. Next time I will go outside. The support and quaility for teleconference was really bad and bad. I will not book it again.
