This place is such a gem. It was our second time going, once just after the pandemic while there were still a few (not many) shortages and then again this year. The vibe is calm and cozy, with a lot of privacy but also very welcoming and warm. We were there the week they got the news that planes were no longer flying - we got stay our full time, but we were among the last to leave (left on a Saturday, and the place was closing I think on Thursday). We watched the place go from humming with life to smaller and smaller groups at meals and in the evenings. Yet the staff remained so incredibly professional - even the night we left they were setting up for a romantic February 14 Valentine's day dinner. It was extremely sad to watch people facing unemployment who did nothing wrong, and who worked so hard. We will go back as soon as we can to support this country and its hardworking people, and because it's a beautiful place all round. If I could give 6 stars I would. I also want to give a shout out to the massage staff - Alex, Kelly, and Ernesto - they were amazing. And to the chefs - I wish I could make such good soup at home. Meals at the buffet were always tasty with a lot of choice but not over indulgence. (And we loved the home baked buns and cookies). Bar and coffee staff - also great. As was front desk and room cleaners. There is also a new spa that opened up a 5 minute walk from the place - we tried that too - really relaxing. My heart goes to Cuba - I hope the world can step up and do what is right. We will be back as soon as we can get there.

AWESOME Coral experience all-around! Loved the quietness of this place, making for a nice relaxing getaway. Food was AWESOME also - always walked away feeling great from a meal - digested the food easily!...maybe because the food is organic, non-GMO? Less people in the buffet made the dining experience way more enjoyable (compared to other resorts, where there could be hundreds of people). Always finished-off a meal with their delicious, good quality ice cream! The staff are genuinely outstanding people...no matter where you are on this property! I appreciated the non-existent loud pool music / activities. Minor negative comments: Clean-up of the accumulated weeds on beach (due to high winds) was super-slow (perhaps mechanical removal would be better than using a rake); Water for tea at main lobby bar tasted salty (could not drink the tea - was this the same water used to make coffee?); I wish their coffee had that golden "crema" on top, like you'd get with a high-pressure espresso machine...(yes, I love my coffee).

Considering the latest developments, there's too much to say that maybe remains best unsaid. To the point: our vacation was great, and we got a lot more than we paid for. The room was excellent, and we certainly appreciated the beautiful resort and the pool adjacent to the building. The beach, splendid... maybe not enough palapas for everyone, but that's not a deal breaker and it's a different conversation... for when the resort reopens. The food was good, and we'd like to send our appreciation to the chefs, prep cooks, and grill operators. Also, kudos to the waiters and the super competent don Cesar. The drink selection was excellent, and we really appreciated the friendliness of the bartenders, always happy to prepare our drinks. The shows were splendid. The team of dancers and choreographers were extraordinary, as well as the piano players in the lobby (we loved you, Jose!). It might have been our last vacation in Cuba for a while. Our hearts go to the Cuban people and wish them strength to survive this crisis. We love you, guys, and are looking forward to our next vacation there. The bottom line is, for us is a cancelled vacation, but for you is a matter of survival. We love Cuba, and we love you! We'll be back!
