We stayed at this charming little hotel for about 5 nights. We were 7 family members, and the experience was a beautiful one. First of all, our flight was late, there was an accident on the road so we had to deviate but when we called the hotel (they had said we should try and get there by 7 p.m.) they were very gracious and told us not to worry. We made it to the hotel at around 11:45 p.m. at night and someone was waiting to welcome us at the hotel. Tired as we were, we were able to look out and enjoy the beautiful view from all the 3 rooms we had reserved. The hotel over looks the sea and the view is breathtaking. Next morning breakfast again facing the ocean. The breakfast is 6 euros per person, but you get lovely cappuccino if you want it, croissants, jam, butter, bread, etc. and cereal. The rooms are clean and a fair size and the staff are just lovely starting with the cleaning staff, the girl who serves you breakfast, the reception and the Patron who owns the hotel. The beach is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, but the walk is wonderful because invariably they have a market of some sort so while heading for the beach you can browse around the market as well as all the little shops facing the water. Things to note: We arrived at Ajaccio and the drive since the hotel is in the North takes about 4 hours through the mountains, beautiful but make sure you are an experienced driver as the roads can be tricky. Internet is only available in the reception area but it works just fine there. We LOVED our stay here and have NOTHING NEGATIVE to say about this place. We would love to go back one day if we could.

“Clean and spacious room, overlooking marina”

We stayed in a spacious room on the 3 floor. There was a lift however you still needed to climb 2 short flight of stairs to get to the room. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was quite basic.

We had a standard double room with large shower room. All very clean and new with a large comfortable bed. The air conditioning was essential and worked well. Parking was right out front and free. We had a standard double room with large shower room. All very clean and new with a large comfortable bed. The air conditioning was essential and worked well. Parking was right out front and free. They serve a nice breakfast for 7€ on the 1st floor with a lovely view over the marina. Get in early as the best seats on the balcony get taken fast. The staff spoke very little English but managed to understand what we wanted and were excellent. They have a terrace on the top floor with a hot tub. It was quiet and we tried it to relax with a book and a drink at the end of the day but they dont have a bar so we took our own. It is ideal as a base to tour the rest of the Cap. There is a shop selling everything imaginable right next door plus a great boulangerie within a few meters. Along the short front (400m) there are about 6 or 7 places to eat, all pretty similar in price and choice but a couple of differences. Pizza is everywhere and the one fright on teh front was spot on. There is a Spar shop at the north end of the front and 100m back where you can shop just like at home which is fine especially if you are doing lunch on the beach. The beach at the north end is great for children. The beach sloops very gently so you can walk out meters before it gets deep enough to swim, ideal for little ones. They have inflatables for the kids to play on in the swimming area. You can rent dinghies and kayaks from the marine base which in the same place..They don't have many so go book. We had a lesson on a Hobicat 15 which was fine as the guy took us out in the bay just far enough.

“Nice hotel”

Old building, renovated and overlooking the small harbour of Macinaggio. Reasonably simple, great location, clean rooms, quiet at the back side, friendly staff. Good breakfast on a nice terrace overlooking the harbour.
