From the moment we arrived at night to a golden lit pathway of flower potted cobblestone to our last good bye at the crack of dawn when we finally beat the rooster up, this place was pure joy!! First of all we were met late in the evening by the middle son of this generous family who gave us a tour of the place. He parked our car( small turn around space) and graciously took us down to one of the breathtaking views at the restaurant and provided drinks all around which was greatly appreciated after our long journey there! Breakfast ( which is included) was superb. Cappuccinos, lattes, fresh squeezed OJ, fresh eggs, yogurt, luscious fruit; I can still taste it now!! Service here is beyond compare. Servers are very professional and go to great strides to meet every request. Meals were tops but I highly recommend the sea bass and grilled vegetable plate at evening meal!! Grecia ( probably did not spell that right) was our daily guide to helping us plan our days. She found us a wonderful boat captain named George who picked us up at the boat dock and took us to see the amazing blue caves and shipwreck. We got to swim in one of the caves along with swimming with tons of small blue fish in another place. Amazing day on the water. Grecia also saved us prime sunbathing spots as servers met every need( drinks, water, towels). This is NOT a snobby place, just well run!! The rooms are small, but have every need addressed. Large windows in each room (we were in the Sfodilas suite) open out onto a private balcony were we would sit and plan our days, have a coffee, or just relax watching the geese nearby the sea. Water pressure was great and plenty of lovely amenities. They provide large bottles of water, good wine, coffee, beach towels and bag, robes and slippers all in the room! We met the family patriarch and matriarch. Both are so kind. The mother runs a beautiful boutique there where I was able to purchase some gifts for home and they threw in a discount for those who stay in the lodge. Our final night there, the mother told us of a special place to go for sunset. It was incredible! Overall, we were treated as special guests and attention was paid to each tiny detail in a beautiful cozy lodge by the sea. By far, this was one of the best traveling experiences we have had. Hope we make it back.

I have been to Greece some dozen times and visited as many islands during those visits. I can honestly say, that the super-cool, family-run Nobelos Seaside Lodge and its Bio Restaurant is one of the best places Greece has to offer. - The service is slick and professional with nothing being too much trouble. Genuine smiles on all the team's faces. - The food is outstanding and presented with a modern twist. - The onsite boutique stocked a little something for everyone. - The gelato bar was perfect and frequently daily by my crew. - The eclectic decor in the rooms may not suit all tastes and not all rooms are equal, so could be a little more hit and miss. - It is a couple of stones throws from the small port town of Agios Nicolas which has some interesting activities (eg kayak and boat hire) and well as other eating options. - THEN there the setting that is completely unbeatable. Oozing with quaintness and old-school Greek charm , this property set amongst ever-green pine trees on a gorgeous white stoned beach is shared with a few obligatory barnyard animals. The incredible Mediterranean water here is warm, clean, clear and calm and its hues evolve with the cycling sun. Do visit quick, as I have a strong hunch that this rather undeveloped slice of paradise in northern Zakynthos will reach the the ears of a greater number of tourists and be part of a well-beaten island path.
