We recently spent 4 nights at Villa Kakatua and wished we could have stayed longer. The villa is just beautiful, the bedrooms are very spacious & clean. Beds were comfortable, air con worked well and each room has its own outdoor bathroom. Staff cannot do enough to help you, they are always available to help you with anything you need, from cooking tasty meals, taking washing to the local laundry, picking up groceries or going off to change money, nothing was ever a problem. The villa grounds are so beautifully maintained, with large frangiapani trees everywhere. The pool is big and plenty of day beds for the whole family. The location is perfect, its 100m from the beach, Old Mans & The Lawn. A 10 minute walk up along the sand to Echo Beach or down to Finns Beach Club, we didn't need to use transport at all during our stay as everything was so close. There is another 3 bedroom villa next door, so it would also be perfect for large groups wanting up to 7 bedrooms. Both villas are located within a secure complex with security. Once you step inside the front gate, it feels miles away from the busy street outside. We loved it and will definately stay again.

Excellent location, down a long drive, so quiet and peaceful, but walk out the door and you are in the middle of the bars and restaurants, with the beack 100m down the road. Team Villa Kakatua, We dont have words for our stay with you. You all have given us the most unforgetable experience here at Villa Kakatua in Canggu. When we first walked in here we couldnt beleived our eyes - It was more beautiful than we could imagine. The service was excellent and the food was magic!!!! It really felt like coming home everytime we passed through the gate and we met all the friendly and genuin staff at Villa Kakatua. Its 5 out of 5 stars, we loved it from day one. All our kids in the range of 4-16 years had their dream school break. We will miss you all. Lots of love from family Rune

“5 star staff, 3 star accommodation”

Lots to like at this villa; the lush, tranquil outside space and good sized pool, the friendly, attentive staff and excellent chef, the proximity to shops and restaurants….but there was one fairly major negative which is that pretty as it is, the villa just isn’t very comfortable! -No cushions on… more

Lots to like at this villa; the lush, tranquil outside space and good sized pool, the friendly, attentive staff and excellent chef, the proximity to shops and restaurants….but there was one fairly major negative which is that pretty as it is, the villa just isn’t very comfortable! -No cushions on the wicker sunbeds which made them virtually unusable after 10 minutes ( there was a comfy sala/day bed, but the villa sleeps eight and that was for 2) -very hard mattresses on all of the beds -two long benches ( one of which was very high) the only place to relax ‘inside’…also very uncomfortable -nowhere other than bedrooms to shelter when the torrential rain came in and the living spaces flooded We had one episode of severe flooding when we had to pile suitcases etc on the beds as even the bedrooms and bathrooms flooded; we were assured this was a one off and the staff worked hard to clear up afterwards, but nevertheless was quite disconcerting. Whilst we enjoyed our time there overall, we would not return and cannot in all honesty recommend.
